The broadcasting business is changing faster than getting manure thrown at you at a Little Britches Rodeo.
Both forms of broadcast are looking for revenue streams. While trying to meet current obligations and looking for new territory.
TV is trying to fend off much of the cable/satellite bunch, radio, is fending off the music artists from taking a bite out of the cash stash every time radio plays a record , or song. Artists don’t realize if it wasn’t for radio playing their music they wouldn’t be star artists, just somebody singing in a honky tonk somewhere. If it wasn’t for TV , TV stars wouldn’t be TV stars as whatever TV show they were on, would never see daylight. Content providers in cable/satellite, are looking for viewer/subscriber numbers, networks supplying the content on cable/satellite are looking to raise the fees to cable/satellite services.
It’s both the economy and those wishing to stay alive, in a very poor economy, provided to you without your permission or vote by both the Republicans and Democrats. Both are lying, cheating crooks. The southern culture has a name for such, called carpetbaggers. There are other names from revenuers to names to indecent to say here.
With that, one has to ask, if there is the need to feed so bad, why is it that when there’s a medium sized fish circling a boat why someone with a hook in the water wont reel it in? Example, an outfit here in Ogden, I contacted when Eli jumped ship, to rescue our streaming radio station, I called two firms, one in Orem, and Ogden Web . The tech guy in Orem got us back up, but it took me calling Livestream to straighten it out. Oh yes, I called Ogden Web, but while they returned phone calls, how hard is it for them to get in their Mini Cooper, drive up here to the Roadhouse and have a chat? Help us develop the site and merge it eventually into a site of its own? Now sure I could go to them, but I want them to show us, on our equipment in our environment how to make things better, adding in software and all on our gear, and in that way, I know what to do at 3:00 AM on a Saturday if something goes goofy. Sure I can watch em at their place, but at their place its there stuff, not ours. Get where I’m going there.
If they want our money, they can come to us.
Now there are those saying , “why can’t the models for visual from TMG do that?” Simple. TMG is female models, going to a private home office, that’s changing after August 1st more on that in a few here. But TMG is not going to send hot models to the RoadHouse. On the other hand, Ogden Web, is guys and guys, doing technical work.
Okay, through a bunch of soul searching, found a place which is exactly where the webstream radio gig was conceived in the first place. For just under $300.00 a month we get the studio/office, we get all utilities paid, but the real clincher? A tech firm that builds, hosts and can maintain the site just above us in the same building. Having TMG send their people to us there will be better and safer, since the new location will be a real business office complex.
Instead of constantly sucking wind like a trout, we can at least get our heads back in the game and begin to regenerate money.
All of which in a few months or just after Christmas/New Years, I can get a place back in the Mini Cassia area of Idaho, come down three times in the week, do the radio work, and yet slowly rebuild AyreWolf Aviation/Cooter’s A1 Toewing near where it was born in the first place.
If you’re a little fish trying to fend off bigger fish, you have to be faster, and quicker, than the bigger fish. More over smarter than the bigger fish.
Look David fought and won over Goliath, so too can HazzardAyre fight and win, over Pandora and IHeart Radio.
This year streaming radio, next year XM/Sirius , more in my next entry.
Closing out, its not that I wouldn’t still talk to and infact have invited Ogden Web Design to the table, again, but waiting is not one of my virtues. I too like many are, in the lush of immediate conquest and lustful of instant gratification.
More on that too in my next entry.

Recommend to your children virtue; that alone can make them happy, not gold.
--Ludwig van Beethoven
Romans 12:3“[Humble Service in the Body of Christ] For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.”
