Can these problems be fixed? If so whose going to pay for it?

HOOKER TOW BLOG HEADER anew phootenotes

Can these internet connection problems be fixed? The answer is yes, if you throw enough money at it, the question then becomes who is going to pay for it? The answer ? Just about everyone needing more bandwidth Internet .

Again we as a broadcaster as well as over the road towing organization, had these same problems in 2013, so we relocated to Utah, where most of the bandwidth problems ended. I had no problem in paying $200.00 for service as it was nearly goof proof. I can count on one hand only three times Comcast went down and none while we had the service with CenturyLink. That one I paid $175.00 a month for. In both cases things were so good I could do more than three things online at once without getting error or reload problems.

So I tuned into one of my archived shows on LiveStream, www.livestream.com/hazzardayre trouble was it’d go for a 20 minute run then have to reload, which gets to be one pain in my six(butt) . Here I’m studying my LDS Priesthood book, getting into a groove and my show had to keep reloading. So I checked my speed. 0.73 download. Really? Bottom line unless I see improvement here its going to be a combination of CenturyLink for phone and a T1 for Internet and Dish for TV.

Thing is though I wonder, how many of my audience is getting short changed here? I mean if I can’t load up my show and hear it full length, they probably means they can’t either. Which starts biting my wallet.

I have talked to at least 100 of the people in Evanston that I deal with on a daily basis. They all say the same thing, for heavy traffic internet, here there must be an improvement and most of that 100 are willing to pay $200.00 a month to see it happen.

Some of the higher up’s at AllWest need to drive out of Kamas Utah and come up here and fix the shortcomings or at least sell the system to some organization that can. Oh one of those interested in buying the system? The Knytes-of-Anarchy. Might as well, as we end up buying everything else and fixing it.

For the short term, I’m keeping AllWest for a internet connection, only for the time we need to get our own T1 connection up. The rest of it? Well Monday , I’m taking my cable unit to AllWest here and cancelling that out, since I can’t use it and setting up with Dish Network.

Just once I’d like to see a internet connection service do it right

HOOKER TOW BLOG HEADER toewers blues

Maybe it’s because I was babied, in the luxury of ultra fast barely tap, instant internet. Maybe its that I can’t understand why some companies will not invest in improving their systems to meet even moderate demand, maybe its all of that, but even doing something as simple as watching HULU, I can’t get through one program without the damn thing needing to reload.

It’s not always been this bad. I remember 10 years ago or so, when I was conned into doing up a project in CokeVille Wyoming, AllWest came over hooked me up, and stayed onsite until everything was working like it should. Even in drop dead 50 below zero, AllWest’ product kept going without any drop in signal or stamina quality. It was nearly that way when we moved the studios from CokeVille to Evanston. Back then you had two cable companies competing for your business. Now you have just one AllWest who has it would seem, gotten a bit too complacent and knows its them or DISH. TV wise I plan to go DISH, why? Simple, AllWest in converting to digital, has no more analog receiver boxes. You have to have a coax running in but no coax running out. I always thought one of the reasons that you bought cable was to keep old TV’s going, as the box did the conversion so you didn’t have to go out and buy a new TV.  As far as Internet, have to keep AllWest, since there is nothing else, but am looking into other options, like our own T1 for both radio station in town as well as here at the Wentworth. I’ll gladly pay $200.00 for a T1 if it means my content going down and back will go at the same 5X5 speeds that I had in metro Utah.

Not saying Evanston Wyoming, or AllWest is alone here.

In Twin Falls Idaho, my complaint was just about the same, pay a bunch of money for services that just flat were antiquated in other words obsolete, and no longer could carry the extra signals that growing communities will require.

The question and this complaint is not just mine. From every corner of the Union, I hear the same thing. Question is, beit , California, Idaho, or Wyoming, why doesn’t both large and small Internet Service companies up their game? Why not invest the money to run CAT 6 or 5 fiber optic where coax once was. If your going to service an area, for damn well , service it. Not just coddle it.

I used to praise AllWest all over the place, even saying AllWest could kick butt over Comcast should they step over the Wasatch range into the Utah metro valley, today I’m not so sure.

But again, its not just AllWest. Comcast, Cable-One, you name it, big, small corporate and independent cable/telecom/internet service companies are not looking into the crystal balls.

Oh and if your wondering here, yes the Knytes are looking into doing up its own Telecomm/internet service company, called HazzComm. Short for Hazzard Communications. Expect that here in about 10 years, yes it’ll take that long.

But again I ask, can we get better, if we’re willing to pay more?

Or are we as consumers paying more for less or poorer quality? About the only stream program I get without interruption is HazzardAyre Radio from Livestream. Oh it takes awhile to load, but once connected stays connected(www.livestream.com/hazzardayre) And after all when you are tuned to HazzardAyre Radio, who needs anything else? After all HazzardAyre is a product of the Knytes-of-Anarchy, mainly me.

is it possible to have brains with beauty?

HOOKER TOW BLOG HEADER anew phootenotes

Getting into a thread of conversation here, In my last post I mentioned that we are looking for photo talent for the shop, toew service and of course radio station/website. The ideal thing would be to find a few local gals with a extraverted personality that doesn’t mind doing a few things out of the box. With that said , and if I’m wrong I’ll gladly correct it, but any gal who has even the slightest amount of a WOW factor in their looks are often , not always, but often dumber than a bag of rocks. Of course hotties don’t need an education, or intelligence as their looks, gets them a guy, with money who will support them, no matter how many times she cheats on the guy. You know she will as most gals with a package is not satisfied with just one guy. Hey it’s the rule of the jungle.

Then you get the movers and shakers of the model talent world. I have met only a handful of gals in the pro model profession that has a brain that still function, which relates to my previous thread here, beauty does not apply to brains. The fluid gets frozen between the genitals and the mind.

For us I have only met a very few whose minds function. First of them all, is our Miss Dixie Diesel of 1993, she could out think and create faster than I could, we complimented each other well. Should have hooked up with her instead of Janice, then I would have never discovered the final frontier of Evanston Wyoming. We’d just be making children and building a super truckers radio media station.

Of course the second is, Erin>156620_162274433815329_2784886_n She came into our Gooding studio, did the foot kiss thing without a single hiccup. Again she offered , I should have caught the pitch.

After that was Meredith of Farmington Utah, not only eager but able.

The rest of what I have worked with either are sweet, or fugdugly , the fugdugly’ have brains just not body and sure enough , no legs.

Yes, if you want to get my attention, show me legs in stockings, and you have my complete attention.

So as I close, are there any gals with looks , that have intelligence? If so we want to hire you>news ad

The world through a windshield

hazzardayre toewers blues

Okay so I don’t run freight on 18 wheels any more, I like snagging and dragging those behemoths out of snow banks or nudging them around the curves when they turn too sharp. Its either a SWIFT driver doing that or a WERNER truck, and to give equal time a UPS driver, either way CDL mills don’t teach driving skills.

First, does anyone at Wal-Mart like their jobs? Does anyone at Wal-Mart’ know where anything is at?

Went to the Evanston Wyoming Wal-Mart, to get some trash bags as the old Kat House here needs some clean up. So it took me an hour and 5 different customer service people to find the trash bags. Then I get to the checkstand. Seems as though this Wal-Mart considers everybody a thief since there are no self check outs at this Wal-Mart. You’d think I’d have interrupted this big gals feeding, she was there chomping down on a Subway sandwich, and decides at the last second she might be working and got through checking me out. Whew , worst of all this gal had crotch pit stink so bad, I don’t think Wal-Mart mandates those doing checkstands to shower before work.

While Wal-Mart may be raising their wages some, if I were Wal-Mart, I’d make sure the employees getting BIGGER pay checks ought to be worth the extra money.

So I squirmed out of the parking lot, going to Wal-Mart must be the only Friday night action here any more. Seemed everyone in town was there. There ought to be special parking for tow trucks and service vehicles. That way you would not have to walk a marathon just to get to your truck.

Then there’s the common courtesy thing. Was slowly cruising the connecting road to Front street, here was this gal trying to get her baby buggy and her across the street, and no one was stopping. Sure there was no cross walk there, but hey its snowing, its cold, for damn sure drivers stop for a minute, think could that be your wife and kid there trying to cross the street?

It’s starting to snow here in Evanston, Wyoming. First bit of it that I have seen for a week. Seems across the nation this past week, that’s what it all was, snow, ice and slyde off’s. This is where and when folks consider us in towing as essential.

Finally, can someone make a disposable razor that lasts longer than a week? The ones I bought a week ago are already starting to get dull, kind of like Facebook, and Yahoo. Good for a day, after that nothing very interesting.

Someone asked me again about the cheesecake we , rather I put on our web sites and all, there are several reasons for this. First eye candy gets attention, second men are men at least most of us and we like to see honeys. Hey we can’t play with em, but at least we can look. Third what I choose shots and photos that are similar to the pin up gals we saw on old warbirds and such. It just looks good. The answer to the question of why don’t we feature local real to life gals with our truck shots? Simple there are none in Evanston that will do that. Yet will wear skin tight spanx or such to the store , go figure.

Check this out>news ad If you think you can sign up. $200.00 an hour.

Finally here where I live, I’d like to put up a sign that says , “wE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FAT WOMEN, ONLY CURVY MODEL TYPES MAY APPLY” True nobody would live here any more , but if its true you reap what you plant, then dang it lets plant some hotties here at the Wentworth like Adam’s girl friend, she’s still hot.

From the WTF files

hazzardayre HIGHWAY HOOKER TOEW TYMEZ HEDDER REVIZED2

But we’re just a towing service, why is it always us? Seems as though I get that noise every day. We see things different here, problem is how can you try to improve a community, that hardly believes in itself any more. One of the biggest companies in town rents U-Haul Trailers and trucks, from HazzardAyre research we have found  its nearly 6 to 8 months from the time people turn in a trailer or truck from moving here, until they’re renting a trailer or truck to move out. Which is a shame. Being just an hour or so from Salt Lake City and only 45 minutes from famed Park City Utah, Evanston could, and I say could be a meka for tourism, and major events. Trouble is few here know how if even know how to market the area.

There is a bill making its way through the halls of congress and senate to allow Utah to annex Evanston, and move the Utah / Wyoming line 20 miles east. While many are against this, I for one am for it. Maybe an influx of Utah spiced tax dollars into Evanston might just elevate the community to find the 21st Century.

It’s a known fact that while many have told me that if the town don’t fit you, move. My response, why move? Why not improve? Where the Knytes go many things grow. While its not said much, the movers and shakers of corporate America does give allot of attention to where the Knytes go to kick over cans to see what’s under those cans. Corporate America also knows that usually what’s in those cans means a serious return of investment. I have seen it time and again, where we go , others follow. Corporate America knows, that the events and such that the Knytes throws usually increases a towns population by 100% over the duration of an event. When we host and produce the Hazzard Nationals the event usually multiplies a population to over 150,000 people, tourists spending money, eating, motels and gas stations to name a few. The list goes on, but how do you convince a community that needs our help that they truly need the influx of the Knytes? It’s similar to an alcoholic. The Alky does not know its sick, until someone points out the fact that he or she needs treatment. In this case my badgering Evanston is not to be mean , its more like a kick butt intervention. Right now this second, there are at least 500, Knytes members looking to make Evanston their home, bringing all kinds of their own business’s here. The fact is they are watching me, and watching how smooth or reluctant Evanston is to a rather radical, rebel force gets treated.

To give you a reason of the need of intervention by the Knytes. Just yesterday a dear lady friend of mine’ husband , became unemployed. Due to his family’ company going bankrupt. Maybe and I only say maybe here, but if one of the Knyte’ company’ had been in place we could have saved my lady friends husband’ company.

Evanston needs and can grow into a metropolis , but its going to take the pulling out of the sand by ones head to see the light. There are projects in the works to fix things here as only the Knytes can, call us our Heavenly Fathers fix it crew.

What we do? That in the next WTF Files, here on HazzardAyre.

Good Old CB, 80 cent coffee and home cookin

hazzardayre HIGHWAY HOOKER TOEW TYMEZ HEDDER REVIZED2

I had the chance several years ago, to get in gear with a TruckerBuddy program in Layton Utah, but I never could make it fit.

I caught this article on Overdrive Online.com about companies trying to get the 20 something age people involved in trucking, more over driving trucks.

Which one could inject here, the idea for and of the foundations of the Rode Knytes Association, was built on a tiny, cb club/junior truckers organization built loosely on the idea of the Independent Truckers Association the originators of the magazine Overdrive. Our group was called the TeenAge Truckers Association.

The idea came not only from me but two area trucker pros that said if these kids wanna drive lets get em in a truck. We had area companies that would put 16 to 17 year olds in behind the wheel of milk haulers, bull wagons and grain hoppers, hey it wasn’t the romanticized that Smokey and the Bandit, or Convoy was, but it was trucking in the real world.

Many of us made plenty of mistakes too. I remember the first truck I drove. It was with a fellow TTA member . Our run was to take grain to a area dairy, that had as a bonus was at Mathers Dairy just outside of Wendell Idaho where the Mather’ twins lived.

I didn’t slow down in time, kissed a phone pole and sidelined an irrigation ditch. But I drove a truck.

After that I learned the skills I needed. I was lucky, the TTA was and is geared towards rural farm local hauling, but hey its trucking.

Of course the history of the TTA is extensive as again, the TTA was the igniter of the Rode Knytes, but thing is, I became fascinated with anything trucking. Of course there came the day, when I discovered LexiBelle>37299_123730071003099_6489055_n and fell in love with going towing. The money was better, I was home most of the time, and I liked the better brotherhood  of those in towing were tighter than my trucking friends. Seemed and I think its what has made all too many younger people gun-shy of going trucking. There just are not enough older drivers out there willing to show the younger ones the ropes. The pride of the industry is gone or nearly there. Government regulations have taken the enjoyment out of long hauling. The son of a lady friend of mine, says he wants to get into trucking, thinking he’s going to not have anyone looking over his shoulder and so on, I say he’s in for a very rude awakening. The industry is just not as it was. For that matter few things are. All of us are too busy trying to make a survival living, that helping anybody learn is just not possible not enough time, however I still try to make time. I will always take a teen who wants to tow, put em in behind the wheel and send em out with my trainers.  The learn to tow.

The industry too shot itself in the foot, demanding new start truckers to be at least 21. When I got in I got my Chauffeurs License the predecessor to the CDL, at 18 years old. We need that kind of entry level license today, get youth who want to truck in the cab at high school graduation, not after they have gone through college.

In my days it was a highway brotherhood, you talked all night on the CB back and forth, you pulled into mom and pop true truck stops not mega plex travel plazas selling diesel. You got a shower, a home cooked meal or coffee at 80 cents. Today nobody stays open all night, at least in our part of the nation. Coffee is $2.00 from a quick store, and home cookin is KFC if you can find a place to park a truck.

The trucking industry can fix itself, it needs to get big companies, and truck makers to invest in programs like our TTA, or TruckerBuddy. It needs to admit there is a pride problem, and start rebuilding that love of the open road again, not just the love of money.

I think the ah honeymoon is over and familiarity is creeping in

hazzardayre HIGHWAY HOOKER TOEW TYMEZ HEDDER REVIZED2

I am beginning to think the Honeymoon such as it is, or the inside relationship here at the Wentworth is over or at least weaning itself.

MamaWolf once said getting to familiar with a associate or anyone breeds contempt. Which might have something to do with it.

I went over for my daily visit with management here today, but the mood was very cold. Most days its just to say hello, and to thank someone who busted her butt to get me in here. But I too am there to learn the in’s and out’s of this facility, especially if the club ends up buying this facility outright, I want to know what makes the thing tick.

Example of the I dunno part is , if your paying near if not at full rent here without government subsidation why or who should care how much money you make? To date I don’t see any government subsidy here. Maybe there is one, just don’t see it.

The other factors are too numerous to outline here, but I think and I might be wrong here, is I think the lady manager here’ hubby said something to the idea of Janet spending so much time here alone with me. The fact is, there are too many factors that makes any kind of romantic or otherwise union between her and I impossible , that said. This is where I live. Things that go on here effects me directly, therefore I want to know every bump and grind that is of or happens here at the Wentworth. Like the noise overhead of Niki and her hubby’ place. All the cops do is come over and say its a domestic issue, take it up with the property manager. It’s why people move into the Wentworth, few stay long time. Reason? When it comes to serious issues, nobody wants to flex muscle, and get involved. It’s like getting a stop sign at a dangerous intersection, it takes somebody to get hurt seriously or killed to get a city to put up a stop sign. Does Niki, have to get hurt in the process of telling her upstairs neighbors to shut up at night? Does DFS have to threaten to take those unsupervised children that are home alone at night while parents work? Does there need to be a physical confrontation here to get Wentworth management to say , “no more noise after 9:00PM. It’d be better to have intervention now rather than litigation later.

This is a mere example. Parking is stupid here. There are tenants here with special requirements on parking. Some have to do with parking in handicapped stalls, others have to do with certain vocations, like mine going towing. I need both my rides just outside of my door. Pull off’s, slide off’s are one thing, but when I go tow its usually a big rig somewhere, that means injury to a people, and that requires a quick response. I can’t just have a truck on the curb, I have to be able to be out my door and rolling, without a bunch of fuss. Something that I discussed at some length before I made application or moved in here, which I was told no problem. Now there’s to be assigned parking. Meaning I’m looking elsewhere. So If I move why is the Knytes looking at buying the Wentworth? Simple, it’d be a good investment and be worthy of a procedure and systems upgrade to fit this community, not the affirmations of say Boise or Lewiston Idaho. The town of Evanston Wyoming has only one major employer besides Union Pacific. That is Wal-Mart, that is raising wages. However those raises are going to be miniscule compared to good living wages here.

In 5 years expect Evanston to be bubbling, with an bio-energy plant moving into the neighboring town of Woodruff Utah, expect the living town or bedroom community to be Evanston. Meaning major needs of affordable housing. Dewalls Apartments are already prepping for this by building more quick built apartments, others are shoring up plans for expansion. The foresighted person looking into the future, would be wise to buy a injured complex like the Wentworth here, fix it up and charge a menial rent per month rate. Not sucker you in on the low scale then jack it up in a year.

While HazzardAyre Radio/TV is on hold the Knytes are still making plans for the Reaper, additionally Hazzard County Choppers. I myself rather than run looking for gold in other areas which may not be there anyway, am looking at expanding both Cooter’s A 1 Toewing as well as Highway Hooker Toewing here. More over I am still looking at AyreWolf Aviation making a base here.

When the local economy flips and its about to, we’ll be in the right spot with the resources to serve the people here.
