No matter how sweet that pussy looks its still sour

I decided to rework that in saying , that no matter how sweet and innocent that pussy at the bar or on TV looks, it still is and smells sour. I bring this up from words I had this morning at the daily coffee grind meeting of the Knytes High Council. There seems to be this great thinking that just because we’re moving this to Utah, that I think that the very move is going to open a Pandora's box full of undiscovered treasures. Which I say is poppycock. First I have lived from one end of Utah to the other. I know what’s there, and what ain’t. I understand and know there will be challenges, but considering where the radio werx is in our construction of HazzardAyre and all, and knowing there are 4 available licenses in Tooele as well as up near Randolph, Utah, that we have the best shot of becoming what we have always wanted to be, and then some.

Now if I could get the kind of broadband bandwidth and velocity from Cable-One, here in Twin Falls as I can from Comcast in Utah for a lesser price I’d jump on it faster than Boss Hogg slurping down ice tea. Or if I could get the lady eye candy for our TV and film projects that we can from the what 15 or so agencies in Utah , here in the Tragic Valley , I’d be down with that faster than Enos Straight swallering a glass of cold buttermilk. Fact is we can’t. The time is now, its either jump on this and build our super Hazzard network, or we dump it, lay down and sleep with the porch dogs.

True Utah’s pussy smells too, but at least , Utah took a douche to its pussy and thus not as rotten as the city of Twin Falls.

Okay, was thinking some more. And this truly needs to be said, and I hate to take anything away from the Dukes, but do you realize that over the weekend another TV show that we hold sacred here also had its 29th year birthday? This TV show came in with some serious thunder. The TV show I’m talking about has just if not a slightly larger fan base than the Dukes, and although only watchable through Hulu, still has people working to bringing it back to life. We are talking of course of the TV show Airwolf. Again the machine is the star, and no where else can you see an aircraft originally designed for air freight, and air ambulance, become so dang famous or treasured. The show was originally going to be called Air Shark, thus the paint scheme, but an audio engineer discovered when the turbines we ignited that the Bell 222A sounded like a wolf cry, and thus Airwolf.

It’s been researched and some say a mach speed helicopter is impossible , especially with weapons, and electronics, I say no way. Maybe in the mid 80’s but I think, and still working on the prototype, the Lady could be built. Not only built, but FAA certified and flown. I’ll bet the Lady would give those Homeland Security people the shits, don’t ya’ll think?

Sylvester Levay, just released a great long version of the music, done by synthesizer a method rather innovative and yet taboo at the time. But consider the fan base keeps growing , even though the only outlet to view it is Hulu. Too bad the Dukes ain’t on Hulu. Then us without cable and/or satellite could watch. Speaking of which and I’ll put this in to get you to thinking,

Imagine if Obama , with his barking of economic equality, opened the door on community TV? In that some air space no longer to be used by cell phone company’s and public safety was opened to where a small local broadcaster could put up an analog station to where everybody could watch. Patrick Gotsche over at RFDTV and Rural TV has the right idea. More over the guys out at the river. But what if they had both a digital channel, and mirrored it to a none digital channel, to where we without that unavailable converter could at least watch something good, like the Dukes and or Airwolf? As it is the well to do with money to spend on cable gets to watch good TV even his State of the Union address, while us in a state of flux of transition, holding it together with duct tape, money wise get two maybe channels. Talk about a economic gap.

Could it be fixed? Sure, how? I’ll let you stew on that . See you in the PM.

Last night slept good, but neighbors dog made too much noise, so just as I was going back to some degree of shut eye from going through a phlegm session, up started the damn dogs. Its not the dogs fault, those dogs are good puppies thing is the owners are assholes. Leave em cooped up all damn day, little time out even to shit, less time out somewhere to just run. Mexican sized dogs are great for the city, along with Poodles and such toy dogs, but real dogs, even protection dogs should not be in town, but out on the farm where they can run.

So was up dealing with phlegm can’t dissolve it. I have Mentholatum, I have used steam, I have taken Mucinex just about everything but still there’s that slimy snotty gunk in my larynx .

So am sitting out most of today, going to take a long hot bath see if I can loosen up this snot.,

So while back a former colleague of mine suggested listing with this outfit called access.com some sort of upscale news thing for and of broadcasting. All I can see is a bunch of pop music bullshit, and hardly if any response to a brief test ad that I posted thereupon. Not blowing trumpets for CraigsList or the response therefrom, but at least one got a phone call.

Course I can remember, putting things on for a few brief moments on KSL.com, guess what we got? Real working candidates, that knew their stuff and oh yes were not spooked about going to a persons house that was both a

studio as well as living quarters. Even when that housing was in a complex for, well, public housing. Hell

we even got Miss Rodeo Utah, there.

As far as my colleague from Lee family Broadcasting, her suggestion made no sense at all, her comments were ignored

and we keep on keeping on.

What I seem to run into and I’ve racked my cranium to find a solution, but that people in this valley despite noise that say otherwise do not want anything new here. Beit media, entertainment or even a heavy guy blowing over the big canyon over here that one years ago jumped.

I remember the big pitch session and that’s all it was, it was not no city council or other wise meeting as it was billed

it was in fact a pitch to the press as to here I am, and this is why ya’ll should let me jump the big ditch.

I remember running into one gal from Yahoo/ABC, more Yahoo, than ABC, there and I thought , “honey if you

want to know the truth about this area ask me, this is not going to happen as you see it.” This valley does not truly want a big media microscope looking it over. Nor does it want the massive crowds, or the increase in revenue, if it

means giving up the small town country image for a few weeks, nope don’t want it. It shows, slowconnect is good for internet, one TV station that swallows up any competition, and if they can’t buy you out, or step on you they behind the scenes trash you.

If your doing something out of the box the competition here will hammer you. Even if your buying em out. Example, two years ago, friend of mine Kim Lee, CEO Lee Family Broadcasting, and I get to talking about the Knytes buying up KBAR AM. Thought was KBAR, coupled to KDXB would be a good combination. About this time a club member

who used to work with Simmons broadcasting in Utah suggested we do Radio Disney here with KBAR.

No Kim converts the station to a Sports station carrying ESPN, rather than something even the conservative LDS

community would like a Radio Disney station. No we can’t do that people might like that, an increase in ratings and revenue. Kind of a can’t see the forest for the trees scenario. Then came the Reaper Club. Make contact with the Real Estate people, find place open, least for $3,000.00 start making plans, recruit help, but time to make the first payments and get serious, the owner decides no. We come away with egg on our face and an even worse reputation.

But if that wasn’t enough, finally think we are getting somewhere, gal says on a reply of our pin up girl ad she’s interested. Groovy. She comes over we have a pow-wow. Now here’s something to believe in, so I look at a place billed as $300.00 a month, pricey but in range.

When the owner comes back with a $450.00 per month price tag, Charlie says no. So did I. More bullshit.

The simple truth and its this way in every small town area in America , but the worst I have ever saw, here. If

your not kissing the six of one of the chosen klan, your orally doing another. I ain’t kissing the hiney or sucking the penus of anybody for any of this.

This is why Twin Falls will not gain any serious national credibility or fame.

Oh and news of residency, I get a washer and dryer in the new place.

In the next two weeks I’m in move mode, by March 1st Idaho will be a bitter memory, happy to forget.

Hibernation is over its time to drop the hammer

The time of hibernation and waiting is over. Its now the end of January. Got confirmation on our studio space in Ogden is secure and a week from today, its grab the goods and get in move mode. Hope this fog and all lifts before then.

While my personal domicile may not move until March 1st the radio werx as I have been howling for weeks now does take place. Our pal Nate that dug up our nugget office/studio space has some connections to get us in a place to live.

While the wait is over, and budgets really thin to accommodate the move including any fees if needed for Comcast and all, is going to be thin, it’s a definite go.

Needless to say, I’m as giddy as a new born race stallion ready to hit the track.

What I think though is many don’t understand what this means. It’s the next step in our evolution at Confederate Steele Media/ HazzardAyre Radio. It also marx the beginning of the Knytes/AyreWolvez, of relieving itself of Idaho at least SouthWestern Idaho. I’m not going to say there is not good people here, because there are, but they are few and far between. I’m not saying that dependable telecoms as well as technologies are not here, but they exist only in Boise and eastern Idaho, not the greater Twin Falls area. The indifference of people too bullheaded to realize when there is an improvement on their doorstep, attempting to enhance the earnings capabilities and thus economic improvement seems to be very short sided on behalf of the area, but I don’t care any more. I’m at an end. I will not be waking up every morning wishing for something to eat or thinking of only one place to go to dine. By the same avenue, when the club needs eye candy for a photo op, it no longer is an ad on CraigsList with ten phone calls two that show up and only one that is only barely capable of doing anything. Its no longer a Easter Egg hunt, for on air personalities for the radio gig, 4 broadcast communications schools within a 50 mile radius, is a hot pond of talent rather than keep fishing in a brook done fished out.

Not that I haven’t met and gained great friendships here. Like Charlie, but there are many who are friends as long as there is a Ben Franklin dangling in front of their face. The fact is, my life duration is limited. I’d like the next 45 years or so of my life to be a bit less stressful. That’s why I’m tickled with people like Eli, Nate and Laura of Comcast on board with the firm and club. But also as tickled that people that have chewed up my ass for 8 years, the sacrifices I’ve made the being accused of retail theft when that wasn’t the case at all, the killing of a revitalization of an airport by a over zealous city council member, the misunderstanding of a bunch of bigots in MHI, the countless in state relocations, and just plain idiots. The simple fact is, once LexiBelle leaves Idaho, the only time I will be back in this state will be to dig up my parents in Grace Idaho to relocate them to Utah. After that the Montgomery Foundation and legacy will no longer be part of the landscape of Idaho, which it never should have been in the first place. Despite all the economic investment we as a family made to this state, despite the economic improvement made by the Knytes, seeing welcome to Idaho in my rearview mirror, rather than my windshield, will be beauty to my eyes and a weight lifted off of my shoulders.

Hibernation is over, we’re now heating up the engines, ready to engage Utah in a week at Warp Speed.

It wasn’t just a Dukes Marathon, but an SOA Marathon as well I watched both

Well today marks 35 years of the Dukes, being on TV, and since 1981 I have had my wolf’s eye on the series , the cast and the entire Hazzard County experience.

I can remember the first time I saw anything on this series, the first was the pilot movie MoonRunners. Which if you want my opinion the series should have followed that story line. Cooter was someone much skinnier, and ruthless. Our today’s Cooter was a revenue agent on the MoonRunners. The next I’d have like to see that story line expanded. Call the town Shiloh and let it run from there. The next time I heard of the Dukes was a bunch of hunters who came to our farm to go Quail hunting, that were part of the creative team of the Dukes. They saw our General Jackson, dressed in Deere Orange and I’ll let you figure out the rest. I had nearly forgotten the Dukes until June of 1981, although I watched I wasn’t as keen on it as I would shortly become. We started looking for some girls drill team Go-Go boots to use in our display of Gen Jaxson, and discovered a guy building a General Lee, albeit poorly. I knew of the car from three years prior, but the car was for sale and we thought it’d be a good compliment to ours. The deal was struck, except Mick Ellis said no on two cars only one, so we entered the Gen Lee. In February after a Custom Rodder magazine article on our General appeared we all of a sudden as a shop were on the map. Well ya’ll know the rest, but it was in October of 1982, near to the day when the Hazzard Knytes became the Knytes of Anarchy, in 2008.

1982 the club was founded by 15 young , full of adrenalin and testosterone, gear heads from the tiny Idaho town of Hagerman created the Hazzard County Knytes, Kustmz Association or just Hazzard Knytes for a shorter title. Its been 32 years riding on the shirt tails, and driving in the tire tracks of the Dukes, for me mostly Cooter. Mostly because Cooter mirrored me and my life so close that it wasn’t just a coincidence. Cooter ran a tow truck and fixed cars etc in a small town supposedly in Georgia. I likewise ran and still do a tow truck and built hot rods in a small town in Idaho. Again the rest is history. Of course not too many if any local media firms wanted to publicize the goings ons of the club, so some military and salvaged radio gear from Lewiston High School from a station I worked on years earlier, and Hazzard County Radio station in real life, WHOGG FM went on the air as a outlaw, pirate station. Later made legal, but at first we were as outlaw as a bottle of Uncle Jessie’ finest.

Today wasn’t just Dukes though, Today FXX ran a marathon of SOA, 3 years of the series. So I’d watch a few episodes of SOA, then the Dukes, Then more of the Dukes, then SOA.

Talked a bit text to Eli, if we can figure out for him to go home with some green for two weeks, he’s willing to hop on over here. I said two weeks, I’ll bet the thing could be done in a weekend, but I though I might could recruit Eli to help in the relocation operation.

Been inundated with news clips over Justin Bieber, over his DUI arrest. My take on it is this, he hooks up with Selena, get unhooked, and goes into serious mind swirl. Which I’m sure we all would. If you had ahold of Selena then did something that she gave you the boot, I’d be depressed too. But do we need to have this hammered down our throats. When we got 24 hour news channels, mostly over a situation in the mid east years ago during the tail end of the Carter administration, such outfits like CNN, HLN, MSNBC and others popped up. But I think they loose or can’t find enough content, so when something does happen, be it the Maryland Mall shooting or Bieber, its ten million runs on the entire story. My thoughts, once is enough. It’s one of the core reasons that many goof balls do these mass assassinations. They get their albeit for the wrong thing, but they get their 20 minutes of fame, followed by at least a week of coverage. How about the same news networks doing something on the southern movement, or the Confederate States Party? The only way we’re going to get any attention I’m sorry to say, but I think if we went out and shot someone serious, and important, we’d get the media heat ink. But nothing short of that or mucho muleia .

So had a good Sunday. Don’t know what Charlie has planned for Monday , but to make sure I’m ready headed to bed. Remember a week from Monday, I go completely off line until we get all moved to Ogden, so if ya’ll want to send me something online best be sending it.
