Forget Rosy, Jenny and any of the rest, put an Alpha wolf on the Panel on the View
So I was sleeping and in amongst the dream dust and repeating phone calls, where no one can stay on the line long enough for me to pee and then answer the double L(Landline) I was hearing the noise on TV about the new hosts or possible hosts for ABC’s daytime show(mostly for women) show the View.
Rossey , replacing Jenny and all, then I thought. What about all the genuine He males out here doing father tasks or working from home, hey the View wants to attract new viewers, how about us He Males? So I thought maybe they need a Wolf in amongst the sheep there, more over an Alpha Wolf male corpuscle like umm wah, to be the wolf in amongst the young female lambs although in reality when your talking the View its more like old ewe’s in there.
So I’m making up a demo reel, and sending it to ABC, maybe we see AyreWolf on the View.
So then went to bank, my what a change in attitude, got $15.00 went out to Flying J, yes THAT Flying J, ate, and dig this bought SKOAL, $6.50 a can. Now lets see , it used to be more out at the T stop than in town, but seems in Ogden its more, than just about anywhere else. Might there be a Secret Sin LDS Tax here in Ogden that few know about. The thing is, used to be Ogden was a town where you went to absorb vice and distance yourself from so much LDS. Now it seems that from everyone being so infected from all too much LDS in the 60’s, that Ogden is more saturated of LDS euphoria and not enough Confederate reality. But then that’s what we here for.
So got done at lunch , trucked over to Wal-Mart, grabbed milk, but my aren’t the greeters cheery. The prick is standing right there watching me get checked out by the cashier, sees me getting a receipt, and yet wants to check it out on my way out. What happened? Did Wal-Mart feel a bit of a pinch from too much walk out of there because too high prices retail exchange?
Then on my way home in front of Ogden Auto Body that no longer does Auto Body, saw a code enforcement, fire truck and a mini,. Here came a ladder truck sireen blaring, nobody moved over. So I put on my bubble gums, and here came Johnny stupid poor guy, in his 82 Chevy, worse off than Wolf-Pup, and went around, wish the fire truck or somebody would have hit each other, I’d have laughed.
It’s not just us in Disabled Vehicle Rescue Units(Tow trucks) .
Then saw that METV 104, SLC has our script done, so looks like we’re near ready, now just need Good 4 Utah, Curt to call TMG to have Michelle come over and do the shoot from the home studio, and saying the words, in essence do the pitching.
Taking afternoon off, getting sugar level stable then will be on the radio overnight.

Quote of the Day, out of anarchy comes order

Trending Now , gives us Ads Trending
Some people think that as I bad mouth a community large or small, that I have an udder disdain for that place.
I had it in Twin Falls, and I am having it here in Ogden. Same situation might be amplified , or the attitude may be its not in line with LDS, philosophy. Be that as it is, it goes much deeper. When I see things so high priced at least real estate, rentals anyway, that exceeds what is intelligent or what would allow a business to open and flourish, it makes me sick.
Sure Obama, has kicked our ass for the last 4 years, and the four years prior, but shit was askew during both Bush administrations. The only time we even had near prosperity, was during the Clinton Administration, maybe we need more Southern mind in that big house in DC.
But government is just one mere part of the equation. Many people are just plain, pure ass’d greedy.
Instead of renting to a person that has a secure income, that could get on a program to get off the Government’s gravy train, no they don’t see that. So by the time one gets rent on office and or shop, house and or apartment, you might have $21.00 or if lucky another $25.00 or so in your pocket to live on. At least for the third to fourth year of the business.
I was chatting with a former colleague of mine that is a good friend, runs WROX in Mississippi that told me how hard it was for him and even now can’t afford to hire even a sales person, or extra help. He’s basically doing the same thing as I am with HazzardAyre. He calls it Voice Tracking, me I call it running a shared show from one of our affiliated networks. The only alternative is using old VCR tapes, put an image on the video, and record the radio show on the audio track, at least although it’ll replay, is that it’ll rewind, and start over again. I never believed I’d have to do that. I surly thought that for $30.00 an hour I could get none member intern/female/on air talent at least show hosts and co-hosts, on the air either as a solo run or as a co-pilot spot. Nope thing is little red ryding hood don’t want to step in the big bad Wolf’s Lair, but will that change in the new facility? Let you know, but somehow don’t think so. But I’m off the main topic.
So was getting ready to turn in for the day, and was checking out Yahoo email, and saw on the TRENDING NOW window something about portable personal air conditioners. Thought it was a product review of some sort. Nope, a full bunch of ads. What Yahoo is that hard up? Must be. My radio friend and I are of about the same mind, and have nearly walked in the same spots. He started at KEEP AM 1450 in Twin Falls Idaho, so did I, Paul, moved to SLC, worked at one of the stations I did, although when I did, it was an AM not an FM, then he worked for Citadel, at KQFC, so did I, and now he runs his own operation with the same independent small station mind I have. No big corporate crap, not trying to be a Goliath, but rather a mere David in a forest of a ton of mega dollar stations.
Bigger does not always mean better. Dig this, I can run music of independent and near unknown artists without jumping thro a bunch of hoops to do so. Where as a big Conglomerate owned station has 4 people at least to give an okay. By the same travel lane, big old Comcast, the big powerhouse it is, seems to be off more than its on any more. Every other night, its either the phone for Cooter’s or the phone for HazzardAyre or the Internet for HazzardAyre, or the damn consumer TV, is fuggled up somehow and not all the channels I pay for am I getting. Yet I’m paying really premium prices. Both Satellite companies are the same, yet tiny little AllWest out of Kamas Utah, that serves the far east half of Utah is the same rate wise, but seldom goes offline. At least their engineering department would call me ahead of time and say het we’re out because. As AllWest knew we supplied news and weather information to Randolph , Woodruff, Utah , Evanston, Fort Bridger and CokeVille Wyoming. Our Over the air was okay in such instances but the source of information would be out, like CNN, and-or the Weather Channel. was down so we had a handicap, but at least AllWest worked with us. Over time AllWest even rebroadcasted our stuff on their call waiting. Such as when one called and AllWest would put em on hold, instead of junk music etc , people would hear us. Like wise over time, AllWest and Confederate Steele(then Southern-Steele) Media and us would do an exchange , Internet and phone, for air time commercials. I still had to pay for TV, but at least the essentials were covered. But can I get that from Comcast? Yea in my dreams. Yet Comcast is spending tons of money with local media, TV and other radio stations. And we charge less than they do. Both ad time and production time.
There are some firms that understand that by washing my back I’ll wash theirs, Comcast don’t see that. Oh and overnight tech support, or weekends, Comcast might say, they do 24 hour service, but not for business accounts. Likewise, try to understand those call center helpers from Bangladesh.
This is why, I see all too many people cutting the cord with Comcast every month when I truck over to Layton to pay our bill. There is a full house there of people bringing their equipment back why? tired of getting it up their six’s. Now I like Comcast when its running full bore. Plus I love Laura who set us up to begin with although this Robert Welch here , his attitude was not too inviting. There was another sweetheart in Denver that helped me the other day, we fixed my problem related to billing, but then had a nice chat. Where else is that in Comcast? Comcast may be the numero uno Cable provider in America, Comcast may own NBC/Universal, but damn they have a long way to go, to being customer friendly and more over living up to their hype.
As far as Yahoo, Trending Now. Why don’t they just have Ads that are Trending?
Any mile, I need sleep. See all on the afternoon haul, on HazzardAyre.
Final , program note. HazzardAyre will begin airing in the afternoons from 13:00(1:00PM) to 00:00(Midnight) when Dixie Diesel Trucker Radio will reairing, again. Yes that’s right Dixie Diesel is returning, Trucker radio , done Hazzard Style, starting September 3rd,2014.

Ogden Utah, soon to be known as Snob Hill
This next entry will no doubt get me tons of crap mail and all , but it must be said.
Now understand, once upon a time one could find just about everything in Ogden. It was a place of prosperity, and commerce. It still is, for the chosen few. If one has super deep pockets. Yet in the face of it Ogden is in a state of urban blight. One only need to drive down Wall Avenue to Harrisville and you see buildings for rent, sale and all but the price for those places, is astronomical. You’d think at those prices one would see gold plated sidewalks.
The recent improvement on the LDS Temple here is seen as a big boom, but many know with thousands of LDS temples being built all over, why would even come here just to get hitched in the new Temple, more over spend any serious cash.
Shit, Bountiful has a temple on the hill, visible from the entire valley yet one can find things in a reasonable price range to create a business in.
When such publications as Forbes and others rate cities or places to grow a new business in , when it comes to Utah, Salt Lake City and Provo, come in the listing. By comparison, Boise Idaho is also ranked as one of the top ten places. Go figure.
Huge big firms don’t care about costs, but remember even the Wal-Mart’ and such were SMB(Small to Medium Sized Business} But here’s the thing.
Ogden needs jobs, it needs commerce yet will slam the door on anyone wanting to rent a office or shop for less than $500.00 a month. You’d think, that Ogden has milk and honey running down the avenues.
I was talking to a gal up at the 711 up yonder on Harrison Blvd. She told me she had to work 3 jobs just to get by. No time for a social life. On the same highway of thought. My neighbor next door, who I drink beer with and kill kats with, works for one of the largest grocery chains in the Mountain West, and even the nation. Yet only make $19.00 an hour. The median wage is $10.00 and why? It costs the firm or company more to do business, namely the cost of the warehouse and or store as in the case of 7-11 .
Ogden was a good baby step, but if we as a media firm of a military aviation club, are to grow a radio station and such it has to be more affordable. Now we have our place. Soon I’ll be living in Wyoming.
One last thing.
AyreWolf Aviation is being shut down. Seemed a bit to self serving as some said, so on radio still AyreWolf, the aviation company will be named after our radio network, HazzardAyre Aviation,
Tactical Search And Rescue(SAR) and agricultural aviation> stay tuned.

Just a slight gap between success and packing poop
Makes ya’ll wonder,
Just a few miles separates success and just packing poop. Here’s the back ground.
Mid December 2013, after much frustration in Twin Falls trying to get a pipeline big enough to carry HazzardAyre online, one of the Reaper crew suggested looking up Utah.
So I did, after looking through countless ads at the time and people whose fingers seem to be broken since they never return phone calls or some reason. Maybe its because I fly helicopters.
At any rate, (about 4-1/2%) I see offices from some guy named Nate at PPC Realty. So I call. He says he has rental office space in our price range. So thinking he has the deal, I make the move.
However the first choice should have been the one I went with, but Nate was less than honest to say the least. If Nate had just said , we don’t have anything. I could have saved $10,000.00 and relocation costs.
Okay, I was packing fudge with PPC Realty. But only 20 miles to the south near Bountiful, I find a facility, who will rent to us, is nearly a stand alone, is in a place where computer geeks occupy, and most importantly has a price tag of $225.00, $250.00 a month if we roll out with their ISP. All the goodies. A place for success.
As far as residency, think I have a place in Wyoming, that I can live in and run tow truck. With only an hour or so to Bountiful, to do radio, it does make the new concept appealing. After all in Evanston, I can sign up with AllWest, in Bountiful, sign up With Force4, and be done with some of the high costs of both Comcast, and realty companies in Ogden, that promise the moon, but can’t even light a sparkler.
More details coming, but we’re on our way again, and I’m feeling better about it.

Packed Tighter than a Turtles Pecker
Radio in Utah especially metro-Utah is packed tighter than a turtles pecker. Licenses if there are any are few, and are ate faster than a turkey drumstick at Thanksgiving. So what’s to do? First reach out to other broadcasters. Do they know somebody who is selling, do they have voice tracking openings. When faced with a long term situation you think is there a better way?
So you start thinking, and that can hurt if your dealing with other tasks. But then you sleep on it. From the pile of mind dust, inspiration comes. Instead of just one station, file on three locations, make three strong signals instead of just one. So it is, thoughts are making 4 signals. Malta Idaho, Buhl Idaho, American Falls Idaho and Wendover Utah. With the flagship being Internet Radio in Woods Cross.
The trick is making money doing radio.
Ad budgets are tight, and before marching off with boots on the ground selling air time, you had better have a workable and presentable product. And one that’s dependable to be there 24 hours with out fall out or dropped every other hour as we are now with Livestream. Beyond that knowing that there needs to be other things to think on. Like an umbrella, or safety net. Enter in both AyreWolf Aviation as well as Cooter’s A1 Toewing, but there’s a slight querk there. What if your on the air doing radio and you get a toew call? What if you get sick, what if you somehow can’t be in studio? Whose going to push buttons? Who can be a on air host? If your looking for a female voice how do you find one that isn’t so timid or spooked of going to a private house, and we all know how that’s worked in the past for HazzardAyre. Well you swallow your cud, and get an office studio.
Every once in awhile the club gets blessed.
Yesterday, signed a 5 year lease on a facility with all the accommodations, utilities, and next to a group that builds and maintains websites and is tech geeks.
But to round this out now it becomes how to grow this seed. Sure its planted, the seed will germinate, but that germination needs the right fertilizer, and Utah has plenty of urban manure to fertilize the seed, just need to find the right manure spreaders.
More on this next time.
