I have always been in favor of, and a believer of the adage, that to get on your feet you need to get off your butt. Same goes for loosing weight. The fact that women are more sensitive to the over the belt line bulge condition than us men are, is one thing. Whyle being healthy is one thing , if your metabolism is such that you are big framed, and so on, no matter what you do, you are going to be big. However that said, from late night TV infomercials to those stupid junk email spam ads , giving you the latest thing to shed pounds, the best way to loose weight and reduce stress is get off your ass and excersize. Go for a walk, take a run, be active. Now I myself am busting fanny, and its not easy. Being on a complete organic diet prescribed by our Nurse GoodBody, and resisting the Big Mac attacks , Ho-ho’s , and Hostess Fruit pies is not easy. Drinking the equal of a tanker trailer full of milk, has been one of my downfalls. Hell I could consume the moo juice from a cow in just under a half a day if allowed, but my tubby belly would get even bigger. The goal of mine is to drop 70 pounds before July. Which means , eating more veggies, and less beef. Laying off the chips, dip, and brew. And getting out more. Why? Ever try to scale a stack of junk cars to unhook chains being 250 pounds? Sure I can do it , but it takes all I got to do it. Plus FAA rules say to fly being overweight. So to earn bucks and all I need to drop one helluvalota pounds.
KoolAid instead of Coke,(soda pop), and so on helps. Plus having the support of club members including Ellie May is essential, to dropping pounds. Which also reduces stress.
It says in 1-Timothy 4:8 That Bodily Exercise Profits a little,but godliness is profitable for all. things having promise of life that now is and of that which is yet to come” .
Physical exercise, DOES profit us. The NIV states it this way, “ For Physical training is of some value, but godliness has value in all things”. God also tells us to glorify him in our bodies, and our spirits. 1-Corinthians 6:20, Are you glorifying God in your body as well as your spirit?
Simple efforts, like getting away from your computer and doing a 10 minute walk around your house, and not allowing forces from outside your spiritual bubble to penetrate your inner being is a move to stress and thus weight reduction.
Not depending on others to do what you should be doing is also a stress reducer, and anything that reduces stress , reduces weight.
There is value in the adage that, goes; if you want something done right, do it yourself. Nobody else can possibly know what it is you need done the way you want it done. No matter how much instruction you give them, only YOU have the vision, so it is up to YOU to do it. Spending too much time on the Internet, can trigger depression and anxiety. Says researchers in Australia. Researchers measured symptoms of anxiety and depression in all participants, and found that those spending too much time online were 2 to 5 times more likely to be depressed than those who got off their ass and got active. In 1 John 2:6 we read, He who says he abides in him , ought himself, to WALK as he walked” .
So ignore the ads, claims and bull stuff, if you want to loose Weight , get off YOUR BUTT !!!
