When people hear about or read about the kind of money per year, that the Knytes, take in, they automatically think, my what a wad to shoot. The reality is, there are 100,000 members in 50 Union states, and Canada, as well Australia that , that money has to be divided amongst, plus the work that goes into producing our various enterprises and projects. Its not all gravy money, and believe me when I say the money gets slim. With the 10 radio stations, 5 TV stations, and all the people that are not club members that expect pay checks, its really not that much. Equipment costs, station facility rentals as well as the few we own, it gets costly. Between the Hazzard Nationals, our version of DukesFest that we call DukesFest West, our mini Sturgis, as well as the big Sturgis, and everything else, that pie gets cut even slimmer. Plus when you consider the AyreWolvez Military Aviation Association, the Deere Dazzlers Association, the Rode Knytes Association as well as the Toew Bro’s Association, their projects the slim pie gets cut even smaller. So just because we expect Mucho Denaro it’s really not that much, so money has to be spent wiser, and clutched to the chest, even tighter. It’s like my friend from CenturyLink who has yet to send me a pic of her. Hey Laura from Comcast did, and she nearly hand held me through the pilgrimage from Twin Falls Idaho to Ogden, she would set up and then cancel installations until we finally found the right spot. Even then that one spot as much as you all know was not that ideal, and had the guy at I4, told me that our mail was in number 8 of the multiple boxed mail rack, I could have paid the Comcast bill and remained solvent. But that’s a story for another time. But that said we lost Comcast, and had to rake out $2,000.00 to pay that bill, and now it’ll cost us big to re-engage Comcast if we ever do. So I had to pay back and thanks to the Uinta View Ward, Evanston Wyoming and Bishop Hiatt, for the help there, but all of that wouldn’t have been if I could have gotten the bill on time. BTW that was some of what was in the file cabinet that mysteriously disappeared, by the time one of the High Priest Quorum and I went last month to bail out. But Laura sent a pic why can’t our rep from CenturyLink do that, it’s not that I’ll just hop on the trike and scoot down there to where she’s at. Anymile, $1,100.00 per month is a bit much. I don’t see why CenturyLink can’t offer the 1gig thing from $1,100.00 to say $350.00 or $400.00 a month, let us demonstrate its abilities, so we could resell it, then in say 6 months or a year, after an audience was built up and all then go to the normal rate of $1,100.00. Kind of like DirecTV. At least DirecTV will give you a system, for an introductory rate, for say 6 months, then it goes to the usual rate.
So that’s that, on that.
Good news, American Idol has been canceled. Yes friends that dumb show has been ripped from the FoX line up, starting after next year. Great, now some great TV again, its like the networks are catching up on scripts and production of the Screen Writers 6 years ago. Now if they would just can Conan Obrien we’d be as happy as a singing wolf pack.
Finally speaking on Comcast, they’re the ones that ought to buy AllWest out and rebuild this system. Hey not ragging on AllWest they do as best as they can with what the do with what they can. However the consumers both business as well as residence subscribers, want more even if it costs a bit more, yet they ignore the survey results. Hey Laura, send this to the powers that be, your company needs to expand to Evanston and surrounding area.
