Even KFC not immune from Internet scams. Saw on Yahoo trending that the little girl, who was attacked by Pitbulls with scars on her face and getting booted from a KFC, due to the spooky nature of those scars will still donate $30k to the little girl, but this reminds us that not even KFC with the financial clout to investigate such claims, can be snookered.
From CraigsList to Facebook and everywhere in between, tells us that even with all the fantastical abilities of the Internet fraud and fraudsters are on the hunt in the cyber jungle.
Private citizens get this all the time. Example, one posts a notice on Craigslist for a roommate, potential roomy says got money will be there. Arrives with only half, still can’t make up the difference, only choice? Give em the boot. Next another post, for pin up girl talent , applicant says able and willing. Eventually shows up, finds out its for a crew of biker style tow truckers. Decides not for her, but instead of a phone call, just kicks em out of the Facebook friends list. Another story for another time, but this reminds me and all of us , we should not buy or take seriously anything online, unless you know the source.
Okay then moving on.
A Woman in Oregon , gets excommunicated from the Mormon church. For questioning church doctrine and establishing a cause to get church authority equalized between genders.
The Woman says that it’s a complete shock, but goes to the point of not backing down. I congratulate the Woman. While sacred some of the church’s texts and all are a bit shakey, more over many are somewhat outdated. I have read that some authority of the Church is male dominated but I can’t see where it says that women can’t hold the priesthood. After all they can hold many authority places in the church, from Primary President to Relief Society President, so why not Priesthood? This could be interesting. I remember something similar during the term of Spencer W Kimball’s rein with the Church. There was a African American that was as faithful as could be in the church, lived doctrine to the letter, but because of skin color could not hold the Priesthood. Shortly after this same man took the Church to court, it was tried all the way to the Utah Supreme Court, in the end ? Many men, of ethnic backgrounds could hold the Priesthood and hold all church callings including Priesthood abilities. What changed? About mid way into the court battle, there was a sudden revelation from Heaven to President Kimball, to allow Blacks to hold the Priesthood. Revelation? Or fear of loosing a ton of money from the church’s coffers, and some serious public image problems to say the least. I hope this lady from Oregon kicks some LDS ass.
Now last night , me drinking Mello Yello and friend Dave next door to me, sitting in his carport. Watching the sky, I saw in the grand sky a missile or something shoot off a high flying aircraft perhaps satellite. I also saw points of light establishing a triangle. No I don’t think it was an UFO sitting or anything, but I do think there was some military games being played high over Utah and few others caught site of it , nor cared.
At first Dave thought I was loosing my head, but I know what I saw. Was watching some early morning TV, and just as I was getting ready to turn in for the day, a power failure hit, only for a millisecond, but enough for the modem and a few components to go south needless to say HazzardAyre got abruptly pulled from the air, but will be back on July 5th. Some new gear is getting installed the site is going to be rebuilt, and a heap amount of other things improved.
