I remember as a young Wolf pup, sitting in the pew at the Church-of-Christ just outside of Wendell, hearing the words of old Seldon Shirley. He was the genuine deliverer of the word of God. He made you feel what he was telling you, and you knew that he practiced what he preached. The other great thing with Seldon was that he didn’t make you feel, like you had to pay a premium, to hear the Word of God.
Then you tune in to these TV preachers. Joel Osteen , and others who get up there under a big screen, in a HUGE arena Talking a great story, yet at the end of the day, all they really care about is a fat paycheck, and fame. Don’t believe me? Look at the jewelry on their wives neck, and oh by the way, ever see one of these young TV Preachers with a fugdugly wife?
1st Timothy warns of false prophets in sheep’s clothing.
I say pity the fool TV Preacher in the next life.
You might fool the people on Earth, but ya’ll cain’t fool God, and trying to fool God is one of, if not the worst thing ya’ll can do, if your preaching, teaching to make your wallet full and for fame, rather than doing the work of the Lord.
