Perhaps most example of an idyllic mind, is on the Disney Channels ANT Farm show. Olive Doyle, is although
a written characterization still has an idyllic mind. Does this exist in real life?
I can say yes and no. I when younger was tested by the Davis County School District in Farmington Utah and was thought to have an idyllic mind. As I could remember everything I was ever exposed to, read, watched, or people I met. Likewise sounds I heard I could imitate. But I can also say as I get older, that ability is fading.
Some say that you are as old as you feel. The fact is I’m older by 5 years than I am chronologically . While turning 54 in two weeks, my body, mind and memory is hitting near 60 years old. While long term memory is right on, my short term has moments of lapses.
I have to write things down more, I have to have people repeat directions. The things I could do just a few years ago, I can’t do physically today.
Working down at A1 Towing here, doing tasks as simple as cleaning the crapper, and shop, I have to sit down at least 6 times, as my legs hurt, and I get dry mouth there something fierce. Not that I’m ungrateful for the job, but I should be out towing , but hey that’s a subject for another time.
So I had to relegate myself to the idea, that doing my own thing at home or eventually my own shop, again is required. I just can’t jump out of the bed at 07:00 any more. Course being up all night doing radio for you, is part of it. That too is another subject for a different time. As long as it’s a task, where I can plant my butt , fine. Lots of physical grunt work, naw ain’t going to happen.
While someone might say towing is physical, sure it is, but its short term. Your out, you hook, or unhook, then back in the truck. But on my feet all day, just can’t do it.
Doctor had me in the office as I had a bruised bone, and a swelling with goop that looked like puss surrounded it, plus broke the rubber band that holds the elbow together. Its still sore. So I have to be in the studio not down at A1 all the time.
Dixie Toewing is rapidly coming to a point of resurrection.
But I’m off course here.
I’m looking into this idyllic mind thing, as is there ANT , standing for Advanced Natural Talent, programs in our schools? If so where?
More investigation needs to be done.
