What started years ago as simply a Dukes-of-Hazzard fan club combined with a grass roots home grown hot rod club, has grown into so much more that few of us then could have thought that what we started at the Polish Palace aka Snake River Grill, in Hagerman aka Hazzard Idaho would evolve into the leading organization of those who see things of Hazzard County beyond just the Duke boys or the Dodge Charger General Lee. From local community service to public education of things of the Confederacy to political movements that hopefully will be the saving grace of this thing we call the United States, we as the Knytes-of-Anarchy are on the front lines every day, every night and always . Some of us are ,more dedicated than others, but all make the pledge and take the blood oath to uphold the values and images of the old as well as modern Confederacy.
From buying air time on out of area radio and TV stations, to running our own radio station, Newspaper, and online blog(this one) we do more than just posting things on FaceBook or Twitter. But as all things in this greedy nation of ours, getting media attention takes money. While the Knytes-of-Anarchy has our supporters that contribute funds to our organization we still could use outside help.
America is facing some of its worst challenges in its history. SSI people are wondering if they’ll get their disability checks this month because our elected congress has things so screwed up. From the debt ceiling fights in DC to states rights, the day of a true Civil War is just over the next hill. Have you ever wondered what things would be like today if President Jefferson would have won the first time?
These are the things that we as the Knytes-of-Anarchy are fighting for and working on. Together with such organizations as the New Confederate Army, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and others are working for a nation whose home is not Washington DC, but somewhere in our southern states.
How can a state in the north have ties to the Confederate South? You ask; consider this, how many other northern states have two towns named after those in the Confederate nation? Here in Idaho, there is the town of Dixie, and Atlanta, plus albeit none operational today, but a place called the Confederate Star Mine, an old silver mine.
Many of us uphold our Confederate roots and work to preserve the ideals we learned from our youth.
And oh yes, thanks to a forward thinking Hollywierd producer who created a movie called the MoonRunners that became the Dukes-of-Hazzard. As the Dukes brought home those images and began conversations of what the Confederacy was all about into many homes. Any publicity is welcome publicity.
Keep it Tween the Ditches,
