All for the love of the Brothers and Sisters

Well last night did not go very well. At about 17:30 hours Friday night tried to fire up HazzardAyre on grand Livestream.com except for one problem, program stream ran just about 20 minutes and cut off. So thinking its just Livestream, went to go online. Found out I wasn’t completely online, although modem was working and all, my computer and the web were not connecting. Made one call to Comcast, which was really for residential, rather than business, some guy who was Indian, not Apache, more like Bangladesh, answered . So after telling him the map number of one modem, the phone modem, which had nothing to do with Internet, the damn thing still didn’t work, so went next door, had a burger with Dave, chatted a bit, then I trucked home.

Dave pounds beers like I do Chiclets, but I can’t anymore for umpteen reasons, mainly because being in toewing, I have to be ready to go at a moments notice, I can’t be snorkered responding to the scene of a tow, drunk or even with a buzz.

Second, too much beer any more reaks havoc on my stomach and gives me the near upchucks, and third, Dave’s brand of brew is the kind of brew one gets to get plastered, me I like beer that has a taste that is good, not just barley fizz water,.

So then came back here in the Roadhouse, same Internet thing. My suspicion is that somewhere along the line, from a fire or something Comcast was down somewhere. Even though I was online the throughput was just not getting from point A to point B, makes you shudder at molecular transport over Comcast, your ear might end up near your pecker.

So called Comcast again, went through the bit of the automated answering service, got finally connected.

Guess what? A Mexican gal this time. Still no speaka the Española, I’m not being racist here but damn it, if you live and work in America SPEAK AMERICAN ENGLISH, or stay in your own nation.

still no answers.

Finally at 03:00 I got in touch with someone that speaks AMERICAN ENGLISH, and its working okay now I think.

But damn it.

So for those who expected me at the fireworks ride tonight, it was me at the Roadhouse getting HazzardAyre back up.

On the subject. Found another outfit , that is geared more for radio than TV, so am looking into it, but also sent a trouble ticket to Livestream. If Livestream can’t or wont fix this thing, we’re going elsewhere.

Killing Kats pop went the pussy

Dogs are caught, and sent to death if not licensed, but kats no. The dang things are all over the place

breeding faster than an LDS couple after marriage. So what do you do?

Sure you can trap em, take em to the pound, where Animal control is going to put em to sleep, so why spend the money?

So My neighbor and I popped a few, after some barley pop. Silent but deadly.

Now don’t say I’m being cruel here. Like any critter, who is not YOUR pet, or MINE, and uninvited , the dang felines are all over the place, brazened enough to breed right in front of you.

Sure I can see keeping a few if only two around to keep the mice population in a state of control, but when that feline population grows faster than an Ethiopian village, you need to take the God given gift of superiority and send the putty kitty to the promised dimension.

HazzardAyre Radio returns next Saturday. We’re still working out some details on both facility, equipment installations and studio operations.

I’ll be on , on the 5th but for only 2 hours or so at a time.

The body is not performing to its best. Had all intentions of going to Layton to see fireworks, but my sugar levels are all over the place, but Phil says he’ll call around 22:00 and take it from there.

Independence and liberty has not yet been achieved

For many it’s a day of celebration for so called freedom for oppression. The reality is for many there is still no real freedom, liberty or relief from oppression, or tyranny .

From the time of the truce at Appamadox to today, many from the southern states are still feeling in bondage and loss of both ideals, and sense of any kind of self worth.

Loss of love of God, gave way to the championing of political favors for immigration of both those in need and release of terrorists, that can and will invade this nation.

For myself and the Knytes, until this flag> can fly with this one> with respect , and honor, then the 4th will be a day of celebration for true independence. Until then for myself and the Knytes, the 4th of July, is just another day.

Airwolf Versus TopGun

No body drives like a tow truck driver, but should

The old adage and slogan that many in our towing profession have used is You put it in, we’ll pull it out. More over getting big things out of tiny places is one of our skills, but daily transport and piloting of roads, highways, even city streets can be a real eye opener.

Recently I heard of a cop riding in a tow truck for a full 12 on, 12 off schedule. Some local policies were changed, and fines levied against people that do not use caution approaching a tow scene. Utah for years has been a place of having the 7th highest fatality rate amongst drivers, and the number 3 rudest drivers in the nation. Only Florida and California topped the list.

But it’s a nationwide epidemic.

There is now a memorial wall near Chattanooga Tennessee for our lost tow brothers and sisters who have lost their lives doing our jobs. Milli inches of space between 70 mile per hour traffic and us hooking up a disabled vehicle.

While Utah and Idaho Law does exist for drivers to move over and give due caution coming up on a tow truck doing its duty, few if any law enforcement officers ever really give the serious citations required or deserved here. Utah Highway Patrol, could give citations for Improper LookOut or as it is in Idaho , Reckless Driving. Both are Class B Misdemeanors. With heavy fines, jail time. Trouble is few are issued .

Some say its not worth the time, others say its no big deal. What is a life worth? Just like this morning, I’m backing in my rollback to retrieve a rig, and here comes a UTA bus running at 45 plus mph through a residential neighborhood. Nearly T-boning me. Overhead lights flashing, but here comes Johnny UTA driver, sure I know he’s got a schedule to keep, but. My life is worth living. The response from UTA? Who cares? They said.

Simple courtesy is all it takes. Sure not at all times can one move over one lane or half a lane. But slowing down, to a near crawl, approaching a accident or road rescue scene would really keep a few of us alive.

It is estimated with acute accuracy that for every 10 vehicles out there , there is 5 tow truck drivers doing some sort of road rescue duty , out of that 5 tow truck professionals, 3 get killed or seriously injured because of careless drivers.

Here’s a personal example. 6 years ago, working a scene out on I-80 west of Tooele Utah. Had my foot barely in the travel lane of lane 1. Here came a Toyota sedan ran right over my foot. While it healed and all, it still smarts. I was hooking under the vehicle, but I could hear the crunch. Felt it even worse. Secondly and this was even worse. Was working two slide offs near Draper, on I-15 going southbound. Fortunately my project was in front. One of Jim’s Tow Smith trucks was hooking up a wreck behind me. Lights on top flashing and all, yet here came a speeding car, smacked the wrecked vehicle in the rear, pushed the to be towed vehicle into the rear of the tow truck. Crushing the driver of Tow Smith’s. The tow driver dead at the scene. Here’s an idea drivers slow the hell down. Watch what’s in front. More importantly move over.

To which, the Toew Bro’s Club, in co-operation with the Rode Knytes(Knights) Towing Association of America, is looking to get some ads put together to begin airing this winter. It’s a major undertaking, but the project is to educate the public to just how close they come to us on an hourly basis on a daily commute.

The other part is to wake up a few UHP officers to the situation , that if you have to leave us after calling us out, if you see or we report an incident of a not looking out, or no move over, give some stiff tickets and fines. We are hoping that we can get a news department interested as well.

The ad’s will begin running on METV ch 104 Utah, and on the news on CH-4Utah.

The Mental Meltdown of America

The amazing meltdown of mental capability in our nation is gaining to epidemic proportion.

Take this morning, Breakfast at Dee’s, here in Ogden.

The Number 3 on the Seniors menu is much lower than the regular menu. But between the coffee and milk I was into that order for $10.21 . Really? When by comparison down at Sill’s Café in Layton, its under $6.00 for all of it.

Get done with that, and I don’t know if its training day at Wells Fargo, or if its that I don’t speak Española but it took me 15 minutes to withdraw $40.00 . I had to have the college kid, that opened the account with me to help transact the thing. Really? Then get to the frigging dollar store to snag a phone for line two, and here I am, in line with 7 other people 4 of which spoke Española the kid at the register is frustrated, so it’s a beetch.

Now then, there are conditions of the situation. I used to say Idaho especially Tweaker Flatts was 100 years going bassackwards, I still say that up to a point, but is everybody stupid? It’s not just academic brain, its just common sense. I used to put it to Yankee weather brain melting/freezing. In that it takes longer for northern Yankee’s minds to thaw after the winter and mental capacity to start working. But its not just here.

Across America, from the immigration, malfunctions to cultural blockades More people can’t think beyond what’s written down in front of them.

It’s like when you call say your insurance company or preytell the cable company with a problem. Unless the answer is on a call board sheet, there will be a need as they say to escalate to a supervisor.

I have only met one, and its only been through email and by phone one cable company person that could think on their own and act accordingly, that’s our sweet Laura Linz at Comcast Business.

I’d still marry her if she’d let me. I’m waiting for her to come over here for a steak dinner.

From the get go, Laura not only rescheduled us at least 4 times, but walked us, mainly me through a few mine fields. She stuck by us and me. Others would have gave up.

But she is so far and few, that you need to ask does Comcast train their people.

I sat at Comcast’s office in Layton, this past Monday. I counted 15 people returning equipment and getting off of cable and internet and cutting the Comcast cord. One I was able to keep there by convincing a customer, I couldn’t run my business without Comcast.

But other multi call centers have so young and not too intelligent people that you need to ask is it just our schools or that all too many children are born with the elevator that wont go to the top floor, due to the mother being on crank, crack or heroin.

Another on Comcast, I noticed that the same MexiCali woman at Comcast’s office in Layton that couldn’t count was still there. During a transaction she did not have the computer skills, to help the customer. She had to have a supervisor help her. If I was this MexiCali woman I’d go back to the job she had at Deseret Industries, and let those who can do computer tech do the job she does. The Pendulum swings too much both ways here. Example, at Sill’s Café in Layton Utah. There’s a shortcake there that is way too good looking and intelligent to be waiting tables. While there are people that are not too much in the eye candy, or even the smarts candy department that ought to be working the drive thru as well as the café .

Where does it end?

Then to finalize here, and its not so much Utah although its more abundant here, but idiotic drivers. Even drivers of things like a UTA Bus that comes down Sullivan road. I’m backing into the drive way, and here comes UTA, barreling down at 45 miles an hour. My gum balls are flashing and the fact this is a residential neighborhood, but it could have been horrendous.
