For Yankees its Independence Day, but for us southerners its just another Monday that the banks are closed

For many it's the 4th of July, a time of blowing things up with Fireworks, picinics and just another reason for many to be lazy. And people wonder what's wrong with our nations economy. Too many days off, too many days unproductive. The day is to symbolize and celebrate our nations break with England, tyranny , and taxation without representation. In reality the foundation of that is not what's being displayed today. Your cussed out if your nice to people or try to help them without any thought of repayment, but hey its America Today. As for me, my generosity and fellow person kindness has ended , go read Reaper Crew Report.
People from the south have been pummled, and tramped on for so long that any kind of celebration of ANY kind of independence is kaput. It has no meaning. Our southern heritage and liberty was taken from us, and albeit a few of us are fighting back but those who can't (or wont) fight back, are getting hammered and jailed.
There's a lady who I admire, by the name of Beth Ann, who does a thing every weekday called CSC Talk Radio. She has been preaching and defending America's life for at least 2012 that I know of maybe longer. I got turned onto her from Ray McBerry of Dixie Broadcasting, and she makes sense. With all her many followers and guests, she tells it like it is. Real truth really makes people mad. Despite the fact that they know deep down that Beth Ann or myself is right, they will not outright say so because it might take a few dollars out of their pockets, or cause them grief in their communities. It's the, " yea I know that's right but I ain't sayin so in town or in public"
I hate to say this nation is far from the freedom loving, liberty nation we once were, and even before that treaty was signed by Grant/Lee the south will not and has not been liberated since.

When I see both
these flags flying together, and the people of the entire nation defending, not condemning the one or both will I celebrate the day of Independence, but since that ain't gonna happen any time soon, I just consider the day as just another day.

As you may have already read, or heard elsewhere, and you need to again. I went to the delectable Tumbleweeds to have dinner snag a few smoothies and dig on some tunes. What I got was nearly isolated , two drinks and no food, my how the temprature of the water changes when you pull back from the buyers table. Deb was the only one giving me any attention, and I wouldn't be surprised to find her involved in HazzardAyre Radio somewhere along the highway soon. But the isolation was the worst of it. This reminds me of the condition of the situation when I went to a recent function at our LDS Ward. They had this Pinewood Derby there for the youth, with a junk food dinner. While the event was sorta cool, I wondered why the heck I even went? Sure I know times are rough even for the church and all, but could at least one or two others of the Ward sit down and break bread with me? Apparently I must have Typhoid or something, or an invisible neon sign  that reads Bad Dog, don't go near. Last week our area stake had Stake Conference, I had intended to go, but thought was, Why? Sure I am knowing of the fact you don't go to services to be popular , you go to remember, honor and learn of Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. But would it hurt someone to come sit down beside me and at least share a hymn book?
Every week, Brother Hutchinson, or the Bishop, get's up, greets the congregation and say We hope you all feel welcome. Reality, no I don't. Haven't since I got here and after a year with few exceptions, still am not accepted. Maybe it has something to do, with a wandering eye at every young filly in the Ward, only from a pure business sense. Like Brother Hutchinson's daughter several weeks ago, came home from her mission. Pretty of course, but it was not the Mission report that stood out, it was the method and way she delivered it. I thought, dang I need to get her on air, she has a great voice and knows how to use it.  Right away there were those grumblings from many who thought, uh oh, the Wolf is about to ingest Little Red Riding Hood. Damn it friends, look past your carnal thinking and look at things from someone attempting to help another person in the Frigging Ward. The list goes on, but while I'll go to services, and sit with the very few that still considers me as a none dangerous human I do it for Jesus, nobody else. Sure there are many, who go to services, with the adage of Church on Sunday sell on Monday attitude. They Don't say it, but its in their minds. I'm guilty of it, but only from a humanitarian view, not to tarnish some young filly's virtue. Unlike some ancestrial Church leaders who used to harvest young pleasing to the eye girls for wives and in any other culture it's rape, still, I'm held at the Judgement cross as the one step from Lucifers hand. Let's get real. This reminds me of when I finally sat down in Twin Falls again in 2009. I would not go to ANY church, except Nurse GoodBody's . After researching and feeling left alone I started going to the River Fellowship of Twin Falls
I was made more welcome and accepted than any place I had ever went, I got to thinking about my own testimony of the Mormon situation than I ever had before. I found holes in the teachings that couldn't be answered. Of Course I moved to Ogden, Bishop Belnap there welcomed me in, and had weekly sit downs with me again I felt welcome. When I got here to Evanston, at the base of nearly committing suicide I went to the Yellow Creek Ward, then once I moved here to the Wentworth apartments found the Uinta View Ward. Sure our Bishop is a fine person, and I love him as a church member and all, but outside of one family, you'd think I'd ripped a fart in the Ward that smelled so bad , no one would sit down with me. After a long drawn out time finally Vern and Dave and family started sitting with me , but does it make me much more welcome than only having the Bishop and one family cotton to me? To date haven't been asked to say a opening or closing prayer, or a talk, that most everyone else there feels like its an imposision to do, and only one family that will sit with me in services, and will say howdy in public the rest of the week,. Then my Bishop wonders why I don't attend services more. Sure I'll go for Jesus, but I really feel abandoned and kicked in the groin, every week for doing so.

Good show overnight and I wish I could find Beaver Prick so I could put a slug up his butt

Had a great show overnight and it was overall quality , hey we're getting there. Its a full rebuild since the we unplugged in Twin Falls in 2013, more over the shut down in 2008 we are still building. But it is progressing. Now then Beaver Prick my heckler and overall asshole pest, had to bring up some minor corrections. First as I reported last night and this much is real, I promised the organization, that I would stop doing otr radio, when I pulled the keys out of LexiBelle. So in all honesty, sure, LexiBelle is undergoing a full rebuild, which is why I'm on air more than chewing up pavement, but its getting there, and LexiBelle damn well, can kick the ass of any truck her size. Plus outpull, out toew and damn well get the job done better than any other truck her size. Considering LexiBelle, has 1,600,000 miles on her, and has weathered many a cold , wet and shitty climates, she's not doing bad. As far as trailer trucking, sure I'm not rolling 18 wheels any more, but I'm still hot shot trucking any time I get a haul. Truck might be smaller, but its still trucking. The thing is Beaver Prick has yet to come out to the shop, to the station, or meet me in public anywhere. My only suspicion that he bitches so much is that some squeeze of his applied for an opening here at HazzardAyre Radio, and either bailed because she was some sort of bible thumper, or was too damn fugdugly that I got too sick to look at it for 6 hours on air. Or a combination of all the above. The piss ass's are like those up in MHI. They gave me a pain in my groin too. Funny as many times as there was supposed to be a knock down drag out , kill rumble they never showed up. To me I don't give a dog eared wipe, if I put a shell in someone and watch em bleed out. Killing humans is good sport. Relieves a mess of stress. And they wonder why some people blast a queer bar and take down a bunch of gays. Or any other humans. You can just get to the point that you don't care anymore.

The movie flopped and I'm too pooped to pop, see all on air Saturday mid morning at 10:00AM

So I endured, not so much enjoyed, but endured the month and a half hyped 100th DComm from Disney Channel called "Adventures in Baby sitting" I must say, it was such a let down, that I went to sleep 3 times while I watched. Don't fret if you didn't catch it as it'll be on at noon mst here in the Mountain West, but you might just as well turn the audio to your TV down and watch that movie and listen to me on HazzardAyre, www.livestream.com/hazzardayre . Of course later this morning in about 4 hours I'll be on with SamcroMc Radio, www.livestream.com/samcromcradio . Following Adventures in Baby sitting , the new dcom drama Bizardvark came on. Again hyped so much that when I start to cuss I say bizardvark, maybe that's the intent. As the show still needs some seasoning to be ready for prime time.
When I watch these things I wonder, what would the the old man, Uncle Walter say about what the idiots in charge of his empire are doing to his TV network. Disney hasn't been worth a shit since Disney merged with ABC, that also has in its stable Freeform, that used to be ABC Family. The only thing on there that has changed is the name the same teen soap opera dramas, are there and of course overnight the frigging 700 Club. Freeform went into the toilet when they bagged Wildfire.
The Disney Channel, has been sliding into the manure chute as well. When they pulled the plug of Shake it Up, and Wizards of Waverly Place, it was all gone except wiping their butts. Then came some more shows , Good Luck Charlie was aced when the LGBT community bitched about an episode on a queer family that moved next door to the Duncans. Oh can't have that kind of reality, on Disney Channel. However I call Uncle here. If you listen to the kountry music on Radio Disney Country, you hear verses on drinking, premarital sex, and so on. Okay fine that's the threshold of kountry music, but for tweens, and teens? So why yank Good Luck Charlie because they opened a not yet approachable door? But we live on, then we gained Dog with a Blog that's been axed, Jessie, and soon to be Liv and Maddie. It's coming down to the point that one might as well divorce Disney from your teens viewing. We can't as two of our AM station's are Radio Disney affiliates , but can Disney be revived? Perhaps, but its going to take some shuffling of management and ownership of the channel to do it.
Then too the environment of Television and to a smaller degree radio, but more TV. Many local stations are tanking. The fix to rescue the smaller rural market TV stations, is an FCC regroove, and giving back some of the spectrum back to the broadcasters, and not so much cell phone and wifi companies. TV networks now have to compete with online TV channels like Netflix and Hulu, as well as on demand from the same networks. Local TV stations can't effectively battle against that.
Back when I was a young wolf pup there was 4 TV networks and 5 TV stations , then came 7 over the air TV stations. 6-7 being Fox, and the WB that is now the CW, (which stands for CBS/Warner Brothers) that was the merging of the UPN network, and the WB. CBS owned UPN, or United Paramount Network. Most notable of that channels offerings was the Star Trek franchise. So with little to compete with and no back channel bitching, like there is with Facebook and so on, the networks had incentive to produce damn good shows, A-Team, B.J.& The Bear, The Dukes-of-Hazzard, KnightRider and so on. Wholesome TV. Even Disney came on, on Sunday nights with a good whole family movie. But then came cable and the two satellite networks that get in a scrap with the networks and drop channels. I've only seen that happen twice with cable. The oil embargo in the early 70's, to other big crisis's brought on 24 hour news, to cover breaking events, so here came CNN, then FoX News Channel. Hows the local TV channels supposed to compete with the big boys? So a declining quality in local newscasts. Then of course for radio, which once demanded over the air, started webcasting, or as its more popularly called podcasts. Which wouldn't I think be as much if the FCC would open more spectrum, to local media, which also would dramaticly cut down on pirate radio stations. I have said that opening up or expanding the thresholds of AM, and opening up the frequency band of AM above 1750 khz, to say 2000 khz, as well as loosening up the entrance requirements substantially. Just because a map shows that there could be frequency overlap, does not really mean there is. Likewise expanding the FM band to 200, and lower to 800 would give local communities local radio, that was supposed to happen per a ruling by then Bush senior inviting something called, Community Radio.
I have also said and I believe in it although I understand why many young people don't want in, lets face it even at a entry level pay check of $30.00 an hour for 6 hours or so on air ain't much, but it beats throwing burgers at McDonalds. Plus you gain a platform to where even if broadcasting isn't your chosen field, at least of radio, you gain some of a skill to feed yourself.
I was reading in one of my trade publications on broadcasting about being in radio, at least starting requires eating off of a EBT card, and needing public housing, maybe, but I do radio because I love the medium. I was always fascinated of how me could be in a studio, playing music and talking, could travel through all the equipment, up a pipe sized run of coax, to an antenna 500 feet in the air and find a lonely car antenna on a car or truck go through that system and somebody could hear it. It was wizard science to me. But I found that there was also a tool. In the early days of our OTR(over, the, road) 4-H truckers group, I could combine my love of radio, and pushing 18 then 6 wheels down a highway. That has proved itself many times over. But I also remember after about two years into our LPFM efforts, that I didn't want to be a phony. Many jocks were on air pretending to be truckers or know the trucking lifestyle, but never set foot or planted their butts in a truck. So two years in I stood in front of our 20 members of what then was the TeenAge Truckers Association, that became the United American Independent Truckers Association in 1988 , but I said, if I ever pull my keys out of LexiBelle and I ain't trucking then I wont be on the air. I could not do one without being involved in the other. If one becomes an icon, and you fake it, you'll get busted and no amount of damage control or repair can fix that.
More on our roots in an upcoming entry here, but TV is dieing at least the way your used to it, and last nights movie on Disney called, "Adventures in babysitting " is a prime example.
See ya'll on the cyber radio, starting at 10:00 hours.

Then there is me and Hazzard County

Then of course there's me and Hazzard County. Now to many the Dukes-of-Hazzard was just a great hit TV show. Always focusing on the General Lee, and them Duke boys. For others it became an obsession . I am one of those. For many their view of Hazzard County looks like this
 or maybe this
then of course there's the real Hazzard, and Hazzard County,
this is the main street of the real Hazzard. And yes it's in Idaho not Georgia.
From the first hour when Bro and I kicked back at our home near Hazzard Idaho, and watched the first frame, of that series I was captivated. Here was a show that depicted just what was Bro and I, whose only crime to America was having a lead foot. In search of a pair of white Go-Go boots for a car show display of another ride of ours, and discovered OUR General Lee, it has been a love affair with a lifestyle that few live. From then to the twice a month run to Burbank California delivering raw pieces for making the rides most saw on the Dukes, to that hour I spent at a ice cream place in Utah the year we entered our General, in the Utah AutoRama, every waking moment, of my life and many hours of my sleep time is of or involves Hazzard County somewhere. It was though on the 2nd night that Bro and I were at the 1981 Salt Lake City AutoRama, staying in the Shiloh Inn, that I thought, the General is great and all, but neither Bro or I looked like Bo & Luke, but I sure as hell bore a striking lookalike to Cooter.
Then the fact that on TV Cooter drove a tow truck, in real life I drive a tow truck, on TV Cooter fixed cars, in real life I fix cars and trucks and so on, so I thought hmmm, maybe build up the hottest tow truck of that era, and show it as Cooter's Hooker , Toew Truck. Moreover rebadge the shop as the original real life version of the Hazzard County Garage, and the rest of that is history. Then the shop, got behind the idea of a rural gearheads club, called the Hazzard County Knytes(knights) which is now split between three organizations, The Hazzard Knytes, Knyte's of Anarchy, and of course the Knytes-of-Dixie. With now 50,000 members and growing everyday, what's not to love? The Dukes opened many doors, for many people, for me the show opened my eyes of my own Confederate ancestors, and my families place in that. Likewise the Dukes for many opened the world of NASCAR, to many that had no real interest in NASCAR, for me then it was 1/4 mile hot foot down drag racing. In closing; Hazzard County is not just a place on earth, or just a TV show. Hazzard County, is a place in the heart, and soul, and a way of life more than just that TV show.

The difference between being interested in a younger lady for professional reasons, and not personal ones.

Today I had the best experience I have had at Church than I have had in many times I have went. I really felt included and part of the Ward rather than just a sit on the fence spectator. Yes it was better as my two wingmen were there, Dave and Vern, althought I think Dave's wife thinks I might be a bad influence on Dave. But Dave brings out a lot of solid footing for me to be able to ask questions about Church topics and lesson questions. Or if I don't completely understand something, in Sunday school, I can ask a question, and not feel like an idiot, or at least made to feel that way.
Today Vern had to conduct the music, and singing, and although he missed a few strokes on two hymns still he did a great job. Then after taking sacrament came the talks. So Hutch's daughter had came home from her mission from Florida, and I expected a boring, drawn out monotone speech, but it was quite the opposite. This young lady captivated me and my mind that I could picture the backgrounds of the scenes her words were painting. There were no complete melt downs or teary eyed sessions, sure she got a bit weepy, but not falling apart and gushing out tears like a Rainbird Sprinkler head in the middle of a hay field. Sure Hutch's daughter is very easy on the eyes, and in someone much younger than I she could melt hearts, but the way she delivered her talk was such, that I just had to compliment her, and suggest she get in touch with me on the grounds of doing voiceovers and on air work here on HazzardAyre Radio. And why not? Having a younger voice, beit female of the Church, and all and being a partly opposing view than mine as well as someone I can bounce topics off of, would be the uplift that HazzardAyre could use. Then of course, Dave tried to remind me of finances. Which I keep trying to explain, that my finances and the finances that support HazzardAyre, that being the Knytes are two different animals. There are certain, things that a man has to bare on his own or he ain't much of a man. Just because I'm going through a tough time money wise, and paying a bunch of bills, is my load I have to lift on my own. Sure I could go the the Club, ask for money get bailed out and after several years of paying the Club, break even. But I'm not going to do that. On the other lane of this same road of thought. The Club is doing better this year financially than it has in two prior years. As a family of organizations overseen by both the Knytes itself and the UAITA , we cleared just under $341,million, in the cash stash.
Two years ago now, I sat in a office space in Woods Cross Utah, of I4 Solutions. Needing to find suitable housing for myself and all, I was bent on going to Tooele Utah. But a voice said to me and it was a smack me up the head prompting to sniff around here in Evanston. So I did. Now yes over many months I have trash talked and cussed out this little town, and yes even Dave agrees that it'd be easier to do this radio thing in Pocatello or surrounding area as the human resources are more plentiful there. However nothing that comes easy is worth anything. I don't want to move away and look back in two or three years thinking, could've , should've, stayed put and fought the forces of evil that exist here, and have a true blue super radio station here in Evanston, that can serve everyone from Garden City Utah to Fort Bridger Wyoming.
When I look at a young lady like Hutch's daughter, its not with hungry eyes thinking evil thoughts. It's more on the foundation, of get her on air, that gives her a marketable job or career skill, and advances the cause of HazzardAyre Radio.
See ya'll on the air(hopefully) on www.livestream.com/samcromcradio at 11:00 PM.
