Hibernation is over its time to drop the hammer

The time of hibernation and waiting is over. Its now the end of January. Got confirmation on our studio space in Ogden is secure and a week from today, its grab the goods and get in move mode. Hope this fog and all lifts before then.

While my personal domicile may not move until March 1st the radio werx as I have been howling for weeks now does take place. Our pal Nate that dug up our nugget office/studio space has some connections to get us in a place to live.

While the wait is over, and budgets really thin to accommodate the move including any fees if needed for Comcast and all, is going to be thin, it’s a definite go.

Needless to say, I’m as giddy as a new born race stallion ready to hit the track.

What I think though is many don’t understand what this means. It’s the next step in our evolution at Confederate Steele Media/ HazzardAyre Radio. It also marx the beginning of the Knytes/AyreWolvez, of relieving itself of Idaho at least SouthWestern Idaho. I’m not going to say there is not good people here, because there are, but they are few and far between. I’m not saying that dependable telecoms as well as technologies are not here, but they exist only in Boise and eastern Idaho, not the greater Twin Falls area. The indifference of people too bullheaded to realize when there is an improvement on their doorstep, attempting to enhance the earnings capabilities and thus economic improvement seems to be very short sided on behalf of the area, but I don’t care any more. I’m at an end. I will not be waking up every morning wishing for something to eat or thinking of only one place to go to dine. By the same avenue, when the club needs eye candy for a photo op, it no longer is an ad on CraigsList with ten phone calls two that show up and only one that is only barely capable of doing anything. Its no longer a Easter Egg hunt, for on air personalities for the radio gig, 4 broadcast communications schools within a 50 mile radius, is a hot pond of talent rather than keep fishing in a brook done fished out.

Not that I haven’t met and gained great friendships here. Like Charlie, but there are many who are friends as long as there is a Ben Franklin dangling in front of their face. The fact is, my life duration is limited. I’d like the next 45 years or so of my life to be a bit less stressful. That’s why I’m tickled with people like Eli, Nate and Laura of Comcast on board with the firm and club. But also as tickled that people that have chewed up my ass for 8 years, the sacrifices I’ve made the being accused of retail theft when that wasn’t the case at all, the killing of a revitalization of an airport by a over zealous city council member, the misunderstanding of a bunch of bigots in MHI, the countless in state relocations, and just plain idiots. The simple fact is, once LexiBelle leaves Idaho, the only time I will be back in this state will be to dig up my parents in Grace Idaho to relocate them to Utah. After that the Montgomery Foundation and legacy will no longer be part of the landscape of Idaho, which it never should have been in the first place. Despite all the economic investment we as a family made to this state, despite the economic improvement made by the Knytes, seeing welcome to Idaho in my rearview mirror, rather than my windshield, will be beauty to my eyes and a weight lifted off of my shoulders.

Hibernation is over, we’re now heating up the engines, ready to engage Utah in a week at Warp Speed.

It wasn’t just a Dukes Marathon, but an SOA Marathon as well I watched both

Well today marks 35 years of the Dukes, being on TV, and since 1981 I have had my wolf’s eye on the series , the cast and the entire Hazzard County experience.

I can remember the first time I saw anything on this series, the first was the pilot movie MoonRunners. Which if you want my opinion the series should have followed that story line. Cooter was someone much skinnier, and ruthless. Our today’s Cooter was a revenue agent on the MoonRunners. The next I’d have like to see that story line expanded. Call the town Shiloh and let it run from there. The next time I heard of the Dukes was a bunch of hunters who came to our farm to go Quail hunting, that were part of the creative team of the Dukes. They saw our General Jackson, dressed in Deere Orange and I’ll let you figure out the rest. I had nearly forgotten the Dukes until June of 1981, although I watched I wasn’t as keen on it as I would shortly become. We started looking for some girls drill team Go-Go boots to use in our display of Gen Jaxson, and discovered a guy building a General Lee, albeit poorly. I knew of the car from three years prior, but the car was for sale and we thought it’d be a good compliment to ours. The deal was struck, except Mick Ellis said no on two cars only one, so we entered the Gen Lee. In February after a Custom Rodder magazine article on our General appeared we all of a sudden as a shop were on the map. Well ya’ll know the rest, but it was in October of 1982, near to the day when the Hazzard Knytes became the Knytes of Anarchy, in 2008.

1982 the club was founded by 15 young , full of adrenalin and testosterone, gear heads from the tiny Idaho town of Hagerman created the Hazzard County Knytes, Kustmz Association or just Hazzard Knytes for a shorter title. Its been 32 years riding on the shirt tails, and driving in the tire tracks of the Dukes, for me mostly Cooter. Mostly because Cooter mirrored me and my life so close that it wasn’t just a coincidence. Cooter ran a tow truck and fixed cars etc in a small town supposedly in Georgia. I likewise ran and still do a tow truck and built hot rods in a small town in Idaho. Again the rest is history. Of course not too many if any local media firms wanted to publicize the goings ons of the club, so some military and salvaged radio gear from Lewiston High School from a station I worked on years earlier, and Hazzard County Radio station in real life, WHOGG FM went on the air as a outlaw, pirate station. Later made legal, but at first we were as outlaw as a bottle of Uncle Jessie’ finest.

Today wasn’t just Dukes though, Today FXX ran a marathon of SOA, 3 years of the series. So I’d watch a few episodes of SOA, then the Dukes, Then more of the Dukes, then SOA.

Talked a bit text to Eli, if we can figure out for him to go home with some green for two weeks, he’s willing to hop on over here. I said two weeks, I’ll bet the thing could be done in a weekend, but I though I might could recruit Eli to help in the relocation operation.

Been inundated with news clips over Justin Bieber, over his DUI arrest. My take on it is this, he hooks up with Selena, get unhooked, and goes into serious mind swirl. Which I’m sure we all would. If you had ahold of Selena then did something that she gave you the boot, I’d be depressed too. But do we need to have this hammered down our throats. When we got 24 hour news channels, mostly over a situation in the mid east years ago during the tail end of the Carter administration, such outfits like CNN, HLN, MSNBC and others popped up. But I think they loose or can’t find enough content, so when something does happen, be it the Maryland Mall shooting or Bieber, its ten million runs on the entire story. My thoughts, once is enough. It’s one of the core reasons that many goof balls do these mass assassinations. They get their albeit for the wrong thing, but they get their 20 minutes of fame, followed by at least a week of coverage. How about the same news networks doing something on the southern movement, or the Confederate States Party? The only way we’re going to get any attention I’m sorry to say, but I think if we went out and shot someone serious, and important, we’d get the media heat ink. But nothing short of that or mucho muleia .

So had a good Sunday. Don’t know what Charlie has planned for Monday , but to make sure I’m ready headed to bed. Remember a week from Monday, I go completely off line until we get all moved to Ogden, so if ya’ll want to send me something online best be sending it.

Control Alternate got deleted

Okay so the font is different, but I got a new toy and I’m going to play with it. Speaking of toys new.

The great console I got, that I am fighting to keep, since the gal who traded it for smokes wants more money for it, which she’s going to pay hell to get, but I can’t figure out how to wire the thing. I know send it to Eli, problem is I can’t find a box that big. Going to see if FedEx or one of em can help on that Monday.

Called a cat out at the River that I thought would help, he said he would drop by yesterday and as so many here, I waited all day, no body came, nor a phone call. Will call him Monday too.

So what’s the problem? On most of my control boards its pretty much plug and go. RCA jacks on back , plug in the patchcords and off to cyber air we go. Not so on this one, its all hard wired. What I need someone knowledgeable here to do, is put the RCA jacks on the back of the console and hard wire it inside. Then all I have to do here is plug in the devices that go to those channels. In essence make a plug and go out of this normally hard wired console.

I was headed to Church this morning but, no fuel, and what fuel money I do have gotta use to go see Charlie Monday, as many of the domiciles that I was looking at have been took. The office is secure, but I can’t sleep for very long at the office. So OP (Operating procedure) is to move radio werx to Ogden as planned, get down there and secure a place to bed down mid month March. But we will be on air mid February, radio wise, in either case. What amazes me, is that for the entire state of Idaho, there is but one that used to do Payee services, now they are just serving current clients, and barely hanging on. I’ve thought about jumping in that, but since I’m a beneficiary it’d look too self serving if I were doing a Payee service. So been trying to find a volunteer to be MY payee, so I could be a bit more mobile and all. It’s not that I don’t appreciate all that Charlie does for me, nor that if all things were even that I wouldn’t stay ROS. But thing is, there is nothing any more for me personally in southwestern Idaho. I’m just tired of fighting, and after last months two heart events I’m in a place where I can’t stand the stress. To wake up in the morning I gotta take a pill, to go to bed, gotta take a pill, and three others during the day. In the morning its 3 packets of Goody’s, same at night so my blood don’t clot in my legs and kill me while I sleep, Then its check my blood in the morning, this morning already at 205, same goes just before bed.

If something did happen only Ricky would know who to call, Charlie doesn’t, and ain’t heard diddly from Nurse Sweetfeet. Maybe she and Britt are in cahoots with each other. I’m not saying Utah is fully stress free, but beyond the resources for and of the club, both radio werx and air command, the thing is my family is there albeit scattered about , but there are people that can at least plant me if I punch out.

The confusion of why Charlie is not eager to let me move and all is not too baffling. After all $475.00 a month in car payment and rent that’s guaranteed by the Government is one thing, but that is the start and end of it. I only do a little bit here and there for Charlie and A1, the rest of the time I run my own trucks and fly, the rest of the time its do duty here on and for the club, with HazzardAyre.

Used to have an in studio engineer, but for another year he is still deployed in the south Pacific. Sure I’d love Eli or someone to fly up here and spend a week or two, helping piece the pieces together, and under the right conditions I might even pull in my wings and ROS(Remain, On , Station) but last night I couldn’t even stream Hulu, download at 1.78 mbps, and just .86 mbps upload I know that is too slow. The feud I’m having with Cable One and CenturyLink, makes them not a player so I’m stuck with SpeedConnect that is little more than a power boosted dedicated wifi.

The one thing I’m dedicated to is this, by April if not long before, HazzardAyre in all its forms, will be streaming on the Internet, the Hazzard Nationals/DukesFest West will happen in Tooele, and the pictorial for LexiBelle will be completed. That’s my goals for 2014.

If through the process of all that I find a personal SheWolf to be with me in case I punch out of this life, that’d be fine. If not , I’m no longer sweating it. After all there’s just so many Kerri Russell’s , so many Gretchen Wilson’s and only one Selena Gomes, and I’m not seeing any of them finding their way to the Wolf’s Lair.

So I close for this morning, going to ease out, kick back watch services from the River Fellowship, maybe by next week one of their techs who says they’ll show up will, and this console will be operational.

Did it effect you, and if Zuckerburg created Facebook today would he succeed?

I had the need to go online to research a thing I saw on TV about the founding of Facebook, and thought, if someone even Zuckerburg himself was creating Facebook today, rather than back in 2003/2004, could he do it? Considering that Zuckerburg wrote most of the code and pioneered the content in a college dorm with only the help of two other friends. He built the company in a dorm. More over even with some capital of just over $10,000.00 he invited volunteers to a duplex condo in Palo Alto California, even some being women, did they say, nah this is at someone’s home, like we here at HazzardAyre have experienced. Look I know that I hover over this particular area, but I wonder , if Zuckerburg was building Facebook, say here in Twin Falls Idaho, inviting people to a homestead to help build the service , would he succeed ? Or be ridiculed, and having to go through so much hate and resistance that you have to move? It does boggle the mind. The creation of a internet radio station built upon old skool radio procedures, as well as just old skool radio, to go to battle against such big boys like Pandora, Beets, and others, who are strictly automated without live personalities introducing music, reading ad copy, reading weather, news. As well as just doing comedy bits, is a near Herculean endeavor. We are doing it for many reasons, one is for a time there is not many filing openings with the FCC, we missed the last one, due to a bunch of stuff. The next, is the new broadcaster will be online on IPods, Ipads, and other web based platforms. Including XM/Sirius, but even just online platforms. Last an internet radio station , of course considering the bandwidth, but an Internet radio station can move its headquarters and flagship station, without having to worry, about FCC filings if you could even get one. A question many ask why did the Hazzard Knytes rename ourselves in 2008? The answers are many, and perhaps the name was and is a bit of riding on an old concept, but the main purpose behind the rename was that we wanted our organization to be able to be mobile. Especially since the basic rural image that the name Hazzard Knytes gave, was too constrictive. The basic undercurrent of the Knytes-of-Anarchy, is that we look to being not as rural, but more urban/rural. Keeping our southern rural roots intact, and keeping our Hazzard County roots intact, but being able to headquarter the organization in a more urban environment. Likewise our radio ops, had to seek a more progressive environment. While finding a super cyber pipeline may not be really needed, but it sure helps. Tweaker Flatts will not gain that same cyber speed for at least 20 or so more years. I personally lack that kind of time. My life’s highway mile posts are coming faster and my final exit , looks all too soon. I’d like to see within my lifespan, HazzardAyre rolling out of every audio device made. Be it radio, IPod, Ipad, cell phone, all of them. I’d like to see on TV a TV show featuring the real world of towing, as well as OTR trucking. Not some dramatized thing. Of course ultimately, I want to see a radio and TV show that truly saluted the many Navy and Marine air command, aviators. In the true sense, plus keeping those still alive informed of benefits, and the goings on of their own squadrons. That’s what HazzardAyre is here for. Finally, Telling the story of the real stories and educating a dysfunctional educational system that has taught only one side of our southern culture and history. Sure running shine, production agriculture, NASCAR, and so on, but showing that the southern people are not just a bunch of stupid so called rednecks. But well educated and intelligent people.

Last here, saw on news feeds. That Google’s Gmail, and Google+ went down today. If it did I didn’t notice it. Many of my postings, my Gmail, and all processed as usual, so my question did it effect you?

HazzardAyre will run Saturday night for 45 minutes, and will run all next weekend until we begin pulling it down for transport to Utah a week from Wednesday. We’ll be offline completely for at least a week or two in February from the 3rd to the 15th getting the new connection connected. I will be available by cell phone.

Imitated, copied, but never duplicated.

I am an original, God for whatever reason made me this way. Not understandably, God gave me a few more pints of gray matter between my ears, and a lot more imagination. Perhaps I am what many call an imagineer. Essentially one who is able to create the visions of entertainment as well as change the course of the rivers of society. Not that I always relish these gifts. Much of the time I’d just as soon, have this noise in my brain be quiet. No not talking hearing voices etc that aren’t visual, except maybe God’s occasionally, and there are those that say that’s impossible as well. No I’m talking of all the ideas of creating the good out of chaos the ability to assemble beauty from junk. As such my early days in radio. Then creating TV screenplays, some that went to others, like the old TV series the Wonder Years. But every exit of the highway of life, you meet or rub shoulders with someone that you think is complimenting you or following in your footsteps, yet are trying to copy what your doing or just plain Mocking you.

Example a famous broadcaster that does an early morning gig on KBAR. Great cowboy, and rodeo announcer in these parts. I met Zeb at first at KART AM 1400 in my early teens, then once doing a gig as the KLIX Clucker at KMVT’s Agri-Action, Farm Show here.

Zeb would like to call himself a rebel, but he dares not go where I do, but he sure tries.

He does his style of radio, and I really agree with a lot that he says, yet he has been very reluctant from allowing me to ever chat on his show of the Confederate States Party. Yankee’s are just plain scared of hearing about or learning about any of the mistakes they have made. The northerners do not want to admit that Abe Lincoln was a liar, cheat and grandaddy of communism. Or a Marxist. Or that the great war was just an excsecize in capitalistic oppression on the great people of our southern people. The Yankee’s just think it was over racism, and slavery, but that is a lie we know it, and it’s a subject of a different time.

So I do up a blog or two, Zeb does up a blog or two, I do this, Zeb has to try to copy. When we as a club began doing the Hazzard County Gazzette, in print, Zeb attempted doing one of his own. Fact is HazzardAyre or for that matter the Hazzard Knytes, do not do what others do, likewise they can’t do what we do, since we are not tied to the restrictions of nor will we be of the establishment, or the system. . But they sure do try.

So then earlier today got a text message from you know who, wanting money again. To which I replied, I couldn’t if I wanted to , that’s a thing between her and the club. As for the equipment, I simply said, I’d pay her as much as I could when I could. Of course haven’t heard anything from Erin either. Guess not all relationships including friendships last forever. Just as well, two weeks from now, I’m history and so is the western Idaho charter of the Knytes. The club will retain two charters in Idaho. Ours in Boise and the Treasure Valley and Eastern Idaho, namely Blackfoot, Springfield, Aberdeen, and American Falls. Of course Southeastern Idaho will be retained being as we have kin folk there. The rest of Idaho. Just crapped in its diaper. But like any diaper, its full of shit and always on my ass.

I’m shutting down the computer this weekend, and only answering my landline.

After three downloads got it and damn telemarketers go away

TGIF I suppose, although it’s days like today, that it’s best to just stay at home if you can , relinquish none essential duties to underlings and attempt to unload the mind, basically turn off the brain. Which I intended to do until I turned on my computer. Where upon I found, my trusty ZoneAlarm was having a feud with another virus program so I quickly uninstalled both of the programs, reinstalled ZoneAlarm and now all is well. Norton programs have had some serious compatibility issues for many years. Of course you’ll have a bunch more no doubt. And the reason many do is after your tired of fussing with the FREE edition, you’ll sink money into the fully paid version. How about all getting along so we can avoid having to cinch down our computers like tying a horse’ leg up to the saddle horn, so if it bucks it falls to the ground. Sure after awhile it quits fussing, but it sure is a mellofahess in the process. So with the tortoise speed of SpeedConnect here, I finally downloaded after 3 attempts ZoneAlarm and all is well.

Then I get two calls first by some outfit wanting me to fork over money to Cable-One. Phooey, I paid once, if their idiotic accounting division can’t figure out I done paid em, let em suffer. Course I am not paying for the time in October when I was supposed to get a credit for the loss of all of Turner Broadcasting’ channels, nor for the not nearly living up to the speed I was paying for, or the fact I had to pay 2 months in advance. That’s ridiculous. I’m game for paying the bill of $212.00, but I’m not paying $632.00 . There’s some months we don’t get that much. Now don’t get me wrong, AyreWolf Aviation, makes good money, but after you take out wages, wear and tear on equipment, inspections, repairs, , insurance and oh yes that grand one fuel AVI fuel at just at $9.00 or better a gallon, it adds up fast leaving us just barely even many months. Same goes for Dixie Wolf Toewing. Winter , Dixie Wolf does well, but still my call volume here is at about 25 calls every two weeks on average. After taking out fuel, insurance and any extra expenses, if I clear $600.00 I’m blessed. So if I send Cable-One $632.00 I starve. While I need to loose weight, that ain’t the way I plan on doing it.

Thing is all these damn telemarketers, get off my phone. If I did not call you first leave me the hell alone.

Okay on a few unaddressed unfinished issues.

First our engineer Eli, is getting cold feet. I don’t blame him, but he does not understand that any money, or any project has to go through a chain of command. First there is the suggestion, then that’s voted on, then the powers that be has to investigate the whatever, then it comes down to a table vote, then it goes to the three bean counters, then the check gets cut. On the moving, I had this done in late December, but first the guy in Sunset Utah did not play honest. He first tells me place will be livable in mid January, I had everything aiming that way, but on the 6th he calls and tells me he rented it to someone else. I will not be homeless, so I had to contact Laura at Comcast and put the installation of our fiber cyber wire on hold till mid month, February, and pay sweet Charlie. The big thing here is this for near two weeks here, my butt was in a hospital, starring up at a ceiling looking at little dots, while I was connected to more machines than Data on the Enterprise. I had a medium duty heart attack, from all the stress. Doctor said you shut down or your going to be on a slab. Then there was the super honey’s that entered the picture, to do just that do pictures. One expressed a inkling to bein on air, so I tried to train her. The good of that a full blown console that as of yet I have no idea how to wire. When Eli said $600.00 to fly him out here, I though that’d be fine, but I don’t have an extra $600.00 .

I gave thought to just staying put, but there are resources in and near metro Utah including Comcast that rural Twin Falls Idaho doesn’t. Even if you want to get down to the stinky truth , simple things that should seem simple, like finding a few hotties that for a few hundred bucks wouldn’t mind standing in with and enhancing the eye pleasure of a few toew trucks or warbyrds. I’m tyred, of putting ads in CraigsList and getting people that are only marginally capable. I want seasoned eyed candy from an agency. Agencies are not in Idaho, but runninth over in metro Utah.

So the thing breaks down simply, move office to Utah as we are doing, in February, starting a week from Monday, then me move down residency wise in March. Unfortunately these delays have made both Eli and Laura a bit skiddish. The thing is and while it takes time to get things approved, but our system does work. It makes sure those that are supposed to be paid are, but keeps out the riff raff.

Now when the move is complete, we’ll be looking for an additional engineer to be on site so that IT and other electronic problems and all can be dealt with.

Any mile hitting the books and catching some TV.

Again need to tell those like Eli and Laura and all, don’t loose faith, we’ll be there, just a bit late. It’s winter, in towing, being out towing comes first, my health comes second. We as a club and myself as a command person here are running as fast as we can.

Dang have a cow. If every person who says their Dukes fans would live life Hazzard style

Any time anyone begins to attack my loyalty to things Hazzard, my teeth show. And I will never retreat or be afraid to bite.

Example, I posted this pic I got about Selena’s ex guy Justin Bieber, and you’d think I was insulting Hazzard or something. Dang recognize some humor for being what it is.

Now then I might have rubbed some on the Official Dukes page a bit of essentially saying crap or get off the can, in defense of a item of dissension, regarding some CMT promos, running during the new HD version of the Dukes on CMT.

My suggestion was that every Dukes fan that is loyal to the show and what it means donate to the Knytes so we as a group, in fact the Hazzard Nation could take the TV show, out of CMT’ hands and create a network for all Dukes fans. I thought a few there might consider putting money where their ratchet jaws are at.

It’s like a couple of years ago, when Alma , our club’ President’ wife brought to my attention of Warner Brothers and a model toy company to take our rebel flag off of the General. As many fans did, I wrote Warner Brothers and all, but unlike them I personally flew down there to Warner Brothers studios, and not only forced a few meetings with the powers that be to rethink that plan.

Few people fully understand what the Dukes means to me or how deep I feel about that TV show. For me its not only a TV drama, but all things Dukes are my way of life. There’s not a second of the day that goes by outside of being on the can, or in the shower, that I am not looking for ways to increase the strength, of the Hazzard Nation. The basic core of the Dukes for me started in 1979, increased 8 fold with establishing a custom ride club combined with the strongest DOH fan club in the nation. Few of anybody else buys air time, for the club, during the Dukes in as many regional markets, than I. Thing is when my mom died in 1983, it was the letters, calls, and the attending of my moms funeral by certain members of the cast of the Dukes, that endeared the Dukes and Hazzard County to me. I have been fighting for and of the Hazzard Nation ever since I reconstructed my own General Lee, and building my alternate ride the General Jackson. The fact that for 30 plus years my garage, has worn the label the Hazzard County Garage, and am honored that many in my area, call me Cooter. The fact that our club, has been working long and hard and will continue to do so to establish a Hazzard Nation XM/Sirius channel, or in building an online Hazzard style Internet radio station as well as one that all can hear on regular OTA radio, my soul belongs to Jesus, my heart belongs to Hazzard, and if ya’ll don’t know that by now then ya’ll have no idea about me. So the next time some body in the DOH Fan Club page wants to question my loyalty, to the Hazzard Nation, rethink, then ask yourself, have you done as much for the Hazzard Nation as I have?
