At some point you have to say if you want it come get it

knyte head

At some point even the most patient leader needs to say, hey if you want it come get it.

It’s like last week, after getting knocked off my horse by a talent fee of $3,000.00 by TMG and knowing that the club at this point would never go that, after all I remember a time when we thought we had a gig booked through them, only because I couldn’t remember my tax number, although there was a full check in front of them for talent for the Deere Dazzlers. One of subsidiaries. Any mile.

So last week floated this thing out from us through Models-Utah for freelance talent. Spotted ones Mom that looks hot, and just as hot only slightly younger Briony, I put out there we were looking, the money was solid, but all too many love the security and longevity of saying , “you want curly fries with that?” Rather than getting into something that is as solid as that salt in that putrid lake out west yonder.

Oh well. But I have got much deeper heavy lifting to do, not only a radio station , but a TV station to build, uplifting our warbird subsidiary, and that’s just the minor half of club work. Add to that the build up of forces at Cooter’s A1 Toewing, HCC, and all and one could get the idea my hands are full. The basic thing here is simply, the offer is out there, get off your butt take it , or defriend me from Facebook, and just be happy with your wonderful job at Subway.

So preve eve was just about to call it a week, having some slightly fermented beverages when I came home ready to carve out the daily blues here when , Overload or something caused the juice to get unplugged.

So was trying to sleep in the horrid temperature, decided to hit the shower in the dark. Thinking some moisture on my torso would lullaby my to sleep. Not. Just about to go under Redy Kilowatt reappears and spent most of this morning reconfiguring systems.

So in closing that’s why no HazzardAyre last night into this morning, see ya’ll overnight on the radio.

Last nights show was awesome.

hazzardayre poster boardHAZZARDAYRE LOGO 1

Last nights show was awesome, nothing broke down, a few tech blurbs but all in all great show.

There is those hours when I’m not streaming, just running over the air. I try not to do that much as when I kick in the mini transmitter, most of my neighbors complaign that their TV’s and such go to the manure pile. In essence I bleed over everything, and considering there’s 100 watts coming out of the trees off the little stick up there that is what it is.

Relief is insight however. The facility in Woods Cross is going to take us to new heights like few have done before, but I truly believe in what we are doing.

The Knytes started this radio station back in 1975 as we were then known as the RoadMasters Truckers Association. Most over the air overnight coast to coast trucker shows or networks were based in Nashville or Texas. By the time news got to them of a wreck or something out here, it was already over. So there needed to be a voice for over the road long haul truckers out west.

Back then late night radio was all you could get to entertain yourself. Sure we had one TV station KMVT in Twin Falls, but at midnight they pulled the plug.

So one night I was tuned into this new show based out of Alberquacky New Mexico, called JOC(jock) Radio. But the show was produced in Bountiful Utah. When the network needed cash and was for sale, The RoadMasters bought it. The first show we aired on our tiny station KDSL(Kay-Diesel)FM was called Long Haul Radio. Then of course 1978 I got LexiBelle>Lexi in green but found little in the way of 10-14(information) for us in towing on radio or TV. So we launched a show during the day called Highway Hooker Radio, Hooker being cb talk for tow truck. My company was known as Heavy Hooker Towing so it fit.

In late 1980 the spirits moved us to build a hot rod NASCAR lookalike, that we called the General Jackson, named after the Confederate General. We had no idea of the Dukes yet.

However the spirits moved again, in the search for some white vinyl, go-go drill team style boots, I saw a sign on a 70 Dodge Charger, nearly the same body style as a 69. Well most of you know the rest.

The 1981 SLC Autorama came to Utah in the Salt Palace, this was when it was a real hot rod show, not a 4 day commercial vendors show. Our General Lee and Jackson, took 1st and 2nd in the combo, street custom class. Once we got home the idea went that doing and going full bore for all things Dukes was the ticket. So the REAL , Hazzard County Garage opened in Hagerman(Hazzard) Idaho, in March 1982. My partner at the shop and I decided to create a kountry redneck hot rod, custom club, with Hazzard flavor. In the fall of 1982 The Hazzard Knytes(the name of our up coming film) was born. The club went from 20 members 10 in Idaho, 10 in Utah, to just over 30,000 members coast to coast in a years time.

In March 1983 my mom died , but with the support of the cast of the Dukes and all things Hazzard being a reason to wake up each day, I put everything I could into both the shop and of course the club.

Today The Hazzard Knytes, now known as the Knytes-of-Anarchy, has 100,000 members coast to coast the latter 50,000 being members of what is the AyreWolvez.

The radio station and network took several turns, the first was creating Dixie Diesel Trucker Radio in 1990 that was Long Haul Radio. And of course what we are today as HazzardAyre Radio. With an annual income to the clubs cash stash at $20,million, we do well, although that $20,million is distributed to all 50 charters of the club.

The creation of the AyreWolvez, and models for TV ads, and all next time.

By now you get the idea, the same plain stuff.

Enter in Hazzard County TV from Confederate Star Media, and of course us here at HazzardAyre .

Hazzard County TV will be fight the system, anti-establishment and not biased by and religious body or fear from boycotting by one.

HazzardAyre will be there early mornings, and afternoons. Dixie Diesel Radio/TV overnights, Highway Hooker Television mornings the only show on TV or radio for those who toew.

This is why we’re looking for the best lady eye candy in Utah and Idaho, to be hosts, anchors, news anchors, and so on.

So when you get tyred of the same bland news as bland as a dinner on Sunday , made by the ward Relief Society, and your looking for more spice in your TV news, think Short skirts, tall heels, not Naked or Bikini News, but hot leg news. Tune into Hazzard County TV, from your friends here at HazzardAyre and Confederate Star Media. Coming in February 2015.

So got another sweet email from Vickie, she’s still willing to be in the mix, but I have some anterior motives for Michele.(No not that) but after I relocate to Evanston in September, I’ll need someone to manage and run the radio station here on a daily basis. Plus a relief on weekends. Which is why I was trying to get Vickie to send up Michele, herself and whoever as guard dogs, to discuss the concept of having Michele as area commander of HazzardAyre/KNAK AM. But now I get to wondering. My feelers are out for alternative talent. Got some kid says he’ll be here on Thursday as a roomy, likewise someone to take this crap hole in September. August is going to be tight time wise. Saturday I fly out from here to Oshkosh, then back Monday. try to train an intern and hopefully Michele, I think $30.00 an hour is a good base wage to work from on the radio side. Then its outta here for Sturgis, that I know was mentioned at minimum of 18 times, even with an open invite for any models wanting to ride up. Still no inquiries. Besides Michele there was this slightly older blonde gal there that would make a great weekender. Of course one that sat the closest to me by Vickie’s staff member in the room, I wanted to explore more of, in a professional manner. But at only 15 minutes each did not get a chance to get the gals to show off what they had.

Then Vickie was saying something of getting to know me and/or the club.

These blogs that I do every day, sometimes 5 times a day, is one of the best ways to get to know us.

Every event, every project, every move except going to the head(rest-room) is chronicled right here in this blog. If someone wants to know me and the club, read the darn blog, that’s why its written.

Finally tonight, saw this kid who says his mother is hot. Looked her up, she is, but she’s a head shrink, and I don’t think such a mundane job pitching the good things of HazzardAyre would be something she’d be interested in. But I think Utah’s images and complacency is being kicked right now. First Utah’s economy looks great, but scratch under the skin and you find transients sleeping in the doorway of an old shopping mall just off of Washington Blvd. You see a web tech, who only pays $75.00 for a desk in a bigger complex. most likely for aesthetics, and of course the states former attorney general, getting arrested. Really a fine calling card for those looking to be part of the domestic peoplesphere. Which is why, Evanston will be the home of both AyreWolf Aviation and of course Cooter’s A1 Toewing.

Details in the AM edition.

Not Yet Established, is she kidding?

HAZZARDAYRE BLUESnose_picker

Last preve eve, as I was just sending an email directed by the club, I got a reply from Vickie of TMG.

In that reply, was the thing that made me think, hasn’t she kept up with the history of us? Mustn’t be, since she gave the impression of us here at Confederate Star Media not being well established. To which I say, really? There are very few excluding KSL, media firms still owned by, still operated by, and still licensed by the FCC to the people who started it. That firm is us. Confederate Star has been in business since 1976, we went on air the fall of 1975, and have been the home of off the wall rebel, anti-establishment radio. There are few TV stations and even some radio stations that don’t shudder when they hear that WE are in town.

Well established? Is she kidding. Now credit wise, not so much, mostly due to things conned into that we decided to back out of and not pay for due to lack of luster results or performance, but the parent of HazzardAyre has never gone bankrupt and we have been kicking Over the air radio’s butt for 40 years how more established can one be?

On the subject of TV.

I saw a revised issuance of FCC fees for new stations, more over a proposed extension for LPTV CP’s. Both are telling me that some filing windows might just be opening. More over new station capabilities. Imagine HazzardAyre as a over the air TV station as well as radio? Not just Internet. Loose in the dust of Hazzard County, some TV station sales execs that are reluctant to return phone calls.

News and views and shows that don’t do just the same old news stories everyone else does.

So to Vickie and TMG as well as some others, not Established? Don’t make me laugh, more like the Wolf in amongst the sheep. And the sheep are worried.

Back in the talent business, a full circle

HAZZARDAYRE BLUESGM1

I am beginning to think that while there are some talent outlets the fact is the ones here are way too expensive for the Mom & Pop business that’s looking for a person, to represent them on such a thing as TV.

The rate for airtime on METV, is outstanding in a good way. At only $250.00 a month, you can’t beat this network for a target for the 50 to 65 demo. All those shows we cuddled up in front of an old RCA black & White tv , to watch. So with that and production being nearly free why add a model to pitch a product or service? Because back in the day of METV shows, you had at least here in Utah, 5 TV stations. Two didn’t do ads, the others were ABC4 Utah, KSL5, and KUTV2. You bought ad time and even a simple pitch was fine since the same ad was on all 3 stations. There wasn’t Internet, On Demand TV, etc. Today that landscape has changed, you had better capture your potential viewing customer, in a fraction of a millisecond or say good by to good money. It doesn’t matter whether your spending $100.00 a month or $5,million a month. If you loose that instant retaining second you might as well take that money and flush it.

So you look for talent. But if just one gal from an agency is going to cost you $3,000.00 your spending more than two months income. Not a great way to get ahead in a business. So what do you do?

I’ve always said there is a need for an agency here in Utah that dealt with the slightly racy, talent for the advertiser looking for spice in their ad. And yet not break that advertisers budget. I’ll have more on this, on the show today at 17:00(5:00PM) but the fact is, looks like the arrangement we had with TMG went sour. Which is sad, in fact the day I went on the first interview, I had a freelance  photographer whose lady friend could have pulled this off but I discharged him and many a talent because I thought Vickie and crew at TMG would work with us. I feel like I got punched in the gut. Maybe its true that you have to go to Hollywood, but I’m not completely convinced.

So I’ve got ads out at all graduate schools, college job boards and drama departments.

Stay tuned.
