HazzardAyre 20 A waste of 75 cents

Saturday, for shits and Giggles I picked up Saturday’s edition of the Twin Falls based Times News. Mainly looking for places to place the Idaho office of and for SAMCRO in Burley.

Any mile, I saw maybe 1 or two real news stories, the rest is fluff, and thought, I might as well , have just tossed out the 75 cents, the window. What did I buy a paper for? Of course Sunday , saw a guy from the paper trying to solicit people to subscribe to the Times News at the Buhl Riddley’s store. Trouble is the folks are not subscribing  because there is nothing to catch the interests if any from the public. There is no real NEWS, just a bunch of fluff that few if anyone wants to read. But I saw some points of interest in Burley. The old office of the Southern Idaho Press there and a few open spaces, made me scratch my head and think, what if someone mainly us in the Knytes were to fyre up a weekly and eventually daily REAL newspaper? Granted from the web and all there are few and fewer people reading newspapers. Newspaper rates for advertising are through the roof, have you priced a newspaper ad recently? What if there was a paper that charged one flat rate, instead of a price per column inch, rate? Gave some real news that people cared about, and did not follow the same path that all the rest of both print, and all media follow? But reported news that will change peoples minds, or change their way of life. Things like a local Sheriffs office that changed the course of the way they dispatch out tow trucks. Splitting a county in two, that will eliminate choice of who tows them , and for what price. Sure a $125.00 per call cap is on the requirements of the tow call, but impound fees etc are going to raise to balance out the $125.00 cap. If one can’t make the price per call, a toewer needs to make it up somewhere. This kind of thing will impact peoples wallets, but did you see anything about this in the Times News? Or on KMVT? The measure by the way , I personally discussed with several outside law enforcement agencies, that think the idea is not only stupid. But unfair. But did you see anything about this in the Times News or on KMVT from the toewers point of view? This is just an example. But points to the limited view that all too many news publications have missed. But the same thing opens up the door for an aggressive news publication like the Hazzard County Gazzette and of course us here at HazzardAyre News.

Okay then, here’s another extension of a troubling situation. Did property values rise for just Twin Falls and/or the immediate area? Case n Point, saw a run down service station in Filer, Idaho. Called on it, could only get the owner to drop the rent from a grand a month to $800.00 a month. But even the Guy said that operational costs were expensive, for heat it costs $500.00 a month, power in the area of $200.00 yet the Guy was only willing to adjust the rent by $200.00? While at the same time, I saw places , including shop space, in the $400.00 a month range, that had much more square footage, and yet costs less? It’s a known that the job market in the mini Cassia area has remained stable, yet costs are less. But have you saw anything about that in the local paper, like the Times News? Or KMVT? Answer; no. Question is why?

Last here. Going to be offline for 4 weeks, moving operations to both Tremonton Utah as well as Burley. As for the Buhl radio station project? Still on the boards, but the idea is get things going in both Utah and the Mini Cassia area first, then revisit the Buhl project. Most likely at the end of 2012.

For officers of both the Knytes and/or AyreWolvez, ya’ll have my cell number. For those that need to get in touch, funnel that through our officers, as I’m out of touch until March 1st. I’m headed for Daytona Florida.

But in closing, why is it that the Times News can’t smell the coffee burning, and put together a paper that makes people want to read it. By comparison , the Deseret News costs 1.75 and has real news. By the way the Hazzard Gazzette is free, or by subscription for $12.00 a year.

Quote of the day:
Imitation is the sincerest form of television. - Fred Allen
Philippians 2:14-16“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.”
