Bake without too much shake

aw phootenotesnew blog cover

Officially its 100 degrees outside, fortunately or not so much, my byrd is still in the hangar getting some avionics gear repaired, so I’m in an AC hangar.

Okay that said means Friday back in the thick of smoke on firelines. Doing aerial drops suppression for the two wild fires around Featherville. Other byrds of AyreWolf Aviation are up near Park City Utah and in Logan canyon. Somebody ignored the only You notices. Of the three big burning fires of course Park City is getting the publicity since Robert Redford lives near there and quite a few celeb winter ski vacation homes are there.

So I’m scratching on the computer.

Got in touch with our telecomm broker things are heading into our own T1, yes its going to be expensive, but what’s $450.00 a month or so against loosing up to last night $4,000.00 in lost ad revenue for the station since we could not go on air?

Some folks say, if your leaving in July 2014, or so why worry about it?

Simple both my Marine training and honor is at stake as well as the Knytes’. We started something and we’ll be damned if one partners wife and a few stuck up women are going to kill a 20 plus years enterprise. What you know as HazzardAyre, started as Dixie Diesel Trucker Radio in 1978, created in a studio in our farm stead home near Hazzard(Hagerman) Idaho in 1975. Dixie Diesel Trucker Radio has won more awards for specialty programming than even Rush Limbaugh. We established or re-established real trucker radio done by truckers delivered to truckers in 1992 bought ITRN(Interstate-Trucker Radio Network) in 1994 and have continued to grow nearly coast to coast ever since. Currently as HazzardAyre, is heard through syndication and regionally on organization owned stations throughout the Mountain West region.

Our home though where we started went dark in 1998 and as it is now a revival is under way. I left Evanston Wyoming to come here to do this, I don’t back down and if it takes doing some incoming syndicated programming to get us on air fine.

As far as the model pin up thing, if these gals think it’s a one time gig I have news for them. If they got on board, and did a good job, the club, both clubs would have them doing feature shoots all year long. Imagine $800.00 every other month for only 8 hours of work. Not too bad for a few extra bucks huh?

If that takes importation from Utah from an agency fine, do it, get it done, move on. Some things are not going to wait, including the club. Called two of the new applying talent, no answer, excuses and screening of the number to call them. Question is why inquire if you not going to go ahead on the gig? It’s not like buying a used ride. The club is too well established to be played with. We only hold that door open of opportunity once. Once its closed, its closed.

Going out to pitch the studio in the mall gig in the morning again. Why there?

Next time on HazzardAyre.
