Time passages

a NEW HAZZARDAYRE HEDDERhaj hedder

Time Passages is more than an old folk song. It’s the passing of time and sorrow.

Last week one of my favorite TV stars passed away, in North Carolina. Andy Griffith.

For years like clock work I’d stay awake and watch that old TV show, thinking of the local law here in Cassia County

and even to a small degree Hazzard(Hagerman) Idaho. With Barney Fife.

Things like this make me realize just how old I am. Next door neighbors kid had never watched Star Trek TOS or even NG. But was asking questions on quantum physics , like WARP speed. There are people who have never seen Adam 12, Emergency, Dragnet, and a whopping amount of TV that we enjoyed or at least I did as a kid.

Heck outside of working on the farm, TV was the magic carpet. Yes I read tons of books, but seeing those TV stars and episodes come alive in black & white and eventually color, was truly magical.

I saw the Monkees, I saw the Ed Sullivan Show, and even a series in what we live today, called the 21st Century hosted by renown newscaster Walter Cronkite.

And who can forget and thankfully from Ben Jones and wife Alma, to us here in the Knytes keeping it alive, The Dukes of Hazzard. A bit of trivia that you might have missed, unless keeping score at home. Did you notice that Crazy Cooter’s car on the first few episodes, like when they were rounding up the slot machines, did you notice Cooter’s car was the same Ford Torino that was used in Starsky & Hutch?

It all comes down to those days of nearly free , liberty, lower prices on many things since Uncle Sam was not in our wallets as much, and thinking if people do not start looking down south for answers , that simple liberty is going to be taken away.

Ever since the surrender at Appomattox when Gen Lee and Gen Grant signed the truce, Confederates feel we still lost. But the true earthly salvation is not just from GoD almighty, but, from a new government, called the United Confederate States of America. Hey we have tried it the Union way for nearly 100 years or better, and it hasn’t worked. Now lets try it Jefferson Davis’ way.

More Thursday, taking time off to recoup from a long two days.

Quote of the Day:
We are always getting ready to live, but never living.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson
Isaiah 12:4“In that day you will say: “Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.”
